This resort has a beautiful garden setting that offers peace and tranquility for guest who wants to enjoy a quiet and reflective time after a long day visiting Buddhist temples and monasteries. The resort is within walking distance to Lumbini Maya Temple, where Buddha was born and many temples as well. However, during our group's stay there, what we enjoyed... More

With the airport in Kathmandu closed to international flights due to a plane crash, we had to make arrangements to take a domestic flight to the border and stay overnight before taking the long drive to Varanasi in India to meet with our tour group. Our travel agent in India recommended that we stay overnight here. The hotel was great.... More

The outside of this hotel and its grounds are lovely. But there are many things wrong with it. First, the mosquitos are terrible. This may be due to the huge, stagnant pond. But, since the two doors to the outside are not well sealed, with open gaps in them, mosquitos fill the room. The supplied electric repellent is not adequate... More

The room we had at the Buddha Maya Garden was actually one of the most modern, tasteful and clean that we stayed in in Nepal, albeit much smaller than in the promotional photographs, and without a terrace/balcony; instead it overlooked a wall. The main room facilities (aircon, hot water, TV etc) all worked very well although that's about where the... More

I only stayed for one night, however, due to a delay we arrived fifteen minutes before the restaurant closed. It was empty and the staff was waiting to leave. They acted like they were expecting us and delighted for the business. The chef cooked a full meal which was very good. It was a wonderful introduction to the hotel and... More

A very quiet and a peaceful hotel befitting its location in the birth place of Lord Buddha. Spacious rooms and very friendly staff. Very close to the Monument complex. One can even walk to these monuments - Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar and the various monasteries. Bicycles and Rickshaws are available from the hotel to visit these.

I had reached the hotel at afternoon due to flight delay but the staff there were very caring and welcoming. The food served was great. I stayed there for 4 days but i never thought of being away from my home. Rooms were also well furnished. The gardens with birds around made my solo trip very good. Thank you Buddha... More
