This hotel could be great, it just isn't. The good points are that it is in a lovely setting on the river and the food in the restaurant is amazing, the main issue we had was with the rat excrement in the room. When we arrived it was isolated to the bathroom, when we went back to the room after... More

On the positive side (and unlike some of the other places at which we stayed in the area), the hotel has running hot water (solar heated) that is hot enough for a shower and flows also from a tap in the sink. It also has generally good northern Laos food and wifi in the lobby/restaurant area. On the negative side,... More

We stayed at Boat Landing in mid October for3 nights, choosing not to stay in Luang Namtha itself. As it turned out we were the only guests. The bungalow was delightful $40 for a spacious and very clean double. The beautiful gardens and outlook over the river were a highlight. It was so nice to spend time sitting on the veranda of the... This is a lovely little set of bungalows along the river, each one surrounded by a lovely little garden and simply furnished. Stayed here for 3 nights, and, although it's not in the main 'drag' of Luang Namtha it is a secluded spot and very relaxing. Spent quite a few hours sitting on the verandah reading books and drinking ice... More

A beautiful Eco resort. Our room was clean, comfortable and it was nice to be able to sit out on the balcony watching the river. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The only downside was the shower the water came out very slow.

The guest house is in a beautiful location by the river Nam Tha. The rooms are in small lodges (2/lodge) with balcony overlooking the river, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Our room was nice, simple and clean, the bed was quite comfortable, there was no wifi. The shower was ok, but there is no flush toilet and so the room smelled... More

We found The Boat Landing delightful. As with many properties endeavouring to operate with true ecological concerns, things don't work as they would in an upmarket 'resort'. And they are located in a slightly out of the way area where all the facilities of the 'modern' world are yet to reach. Thank goodness there was no live music! Just the... More

The concept was a good one when they started this place, but it's clear that the original owners have moved on and the current owners have not updated or maintained anything except the garden, which is very pretty. No hot water, pail flush toilets, a blanket which didn't fit the bed, dusty aging cabin. The website is a relic from... More

The guest house is approx 6km from Luang Namtha town and overlooks the Namtha river. There are 11 cabins stretched in groups of two along the banks of the river with the reception & restaurant closest to the road. Rooms are a little basic with no fridge or TV. They have a portable floor fan & a small desk with... More

We loved being at the Boat Landing. It was great to look at the river sitting outside of the bungalow, the food was good, and their personnel speaks English (!). Our room was comfortable, nicely decorated and clean, with a large bathroom. I wish we had booked one more day over there...
