We really.enjoyed our stay with Mr Poh and his family. They were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. We helped to prepare and cook dinner with the family and then ate with them. It was a wonderful experience and the food was delicious. WiFi in the communal area that worked well. We were able to keep our bike in the garage... More

I add another excellent review for this guest house! Nice people, nice welcome, 60000kip the bungalow (5,5€ / 7,5$) for the night, it is really great. We were during Pi Mai (Lao New Year), and its location was perfect to be a little apart from the huge noise. The room was clean, big, balcony, fan, mosquito net, excellent breakfast (served... More

The Palamei Guesthouse made our stay in Tad Lo one of the highlights of our six-weeks trip to Laos. We stayed in the big bungalow, which was huge, bright, beautiful and had the most comfortable bed we slept in in South East Asia. For 11 Canadian dollars a night, it was an absolute steal. All the family is wonderful. Poh,... More

We loved our stay at this guesthouse. We stayed in a double bungalow with fan and hot water for 60k kip. It was incredible value. The room was huge, really nice and clean and also came with a balcony out the back overlooking the field with a hammock and chair. The best thing about this place however was the owner,... More

We honestly couldn't have asked for a better bungalow then at Palamei. We ended up with the big bungalow pictured above and it was massive! Beds were comfy, clean, hot showers, great deck with hammock surrounded by a beauiful garden. There is a reason it is the top lonely planet pick for Tad Lo. The family living there are very... More

We stayed at Palamei for 2 nights during a stop-over at Tad Lo and enjoyed every minute. The owners firstly are so warm and welcoming, our room was like a beautiful log-cabin absolutely massive, gorgeous balcony outback and incredible views, beautiful garden in the front with stream running through. Every evening you help with cooking a scrumptious dinner and sit... More

We stayed in tad lo for a week. The first night we spent by the river, it was nice but too noisy. We were lucky to reach palamei guest house the next day and meet poh the owner. He and his family are great and made us feel so at home it was hard to leave. We stayed at the... More

This place is a must if you're going to the Tad-Lo waterfalls. It was the best home stay experience we had on our three month journey, the family are very welcoming and the accommodation was great. The Bungalows that the owner Pa had built himself are fantastic. I cooked with him on the night i we stayed there and we... More

The best things about this place are the owner and his family and the evening meal experience. You help cook the food (we made things like chicken pineapple kebabs, vegetable salad and spring rolls) and eat all together. While we were there we watched them prepare (aka kill, pluck and season) some very exotic dishes including monitor lizard and the... More

We called few days before our arrival in Tad Lo, and discussed with Pâ, the owner, to book one or 2 bungalows for our family. When we arrived, Pâ showed us the free bungalows and we choosed one at the rear, with a terasse, hammock and view on the rice fields. The bungalow was quite new, the room and bathroom... More
