The staff of Kundan Bazar Guest House is doing a great job! They really do make you feel you at home. Very friendly and clean/very well kept rooms. The cook/kitchen staff is also making an excellent job: delicious food and served with a smile. The location is slightly outside the centre of Bodhgaya, which makes it a quiet location. I... More

After a few shady hotels that were the only option in this part on India, Kundan Bazar was so refreshing. It's a guest house that really knows what travellers need. A very clean room, wi-fi, common area and a roof top restaurant, a quiet location but not too far from the main attractions. Highly recommended...

.I recommend it. I was alone for 40 days in Bodhgaya, which can be difficult for a women. This guest house really takes care of its guests / including arranging transport/. The rooms are very clean, hot running water 24 hous. They have very nice rooftop café where all meals can be taken from 7a.m to midnight..I have traveled a... More

We stayed here for two nights in July. They are located about a 15 minute walk to the main temples and main part of town. Our original room with a double bed was too small to fit our two big backpacks anywhere, so we got a larger room with two twin beds and much more floor space. There was a... More

Highly recommended for travelers to Bodhgaya. This small hotel really takes care of its guests, including arranging transport from airport or train station. The rooms are very clean, with fan and a/c, hot running water 24 hours per day, insect screens on the windows. Free filtered drinking water available at all times. Very nice rooftop café where all meals can... More

This guest house has a youthful, friendly attitude and service is impeccable for this price category. Everything is cheerful, freshly painted and clean, the rooftop veranda is a great place to hang out, especially for sunrise and sunset, with 360 degree vistas of the surrounding village and fields. I saw several of the rooms and they are all of the... More

We stayed 1 week in KUNDAN BAZAR in February 2014, and had a lovely experience. The staff were very friendly, kindly and helpful, and made us feel quite at home. Facilities were also good, with the added bonus of unlimited filtered drinking water - saves on all those plastic water bottles which just burden our environment more. Rooms are simple... More

I arrived via middle of the night train from New Delhi. I was met by a driver from the guest house as promised which was great being a woman traveling alone. My room was small but clean and comfortable with a private bathroom. The price was more than reasonable. The guesthouse is located close to a mile out of town... More

This is located a little over a km from the main Mahabodhi temple, away from the maze of hotels immediately next to the temple. Its in a narrow, shady alley, going down which one may start wondering whether one made the right choice of hotel. Its also surrounded on all sides by underdeveloped structures and surroundings, with enough cattle and... More

There might be cheaper options in Bodh Gaya, or guesthouses located closer to the town centre, but the Kundan Bazar is outstanding in every respect. Rooms are small and simple but very functional, clean and warm, and the shoe guest-house has a very buddhist feel. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is very pleasant, too.
