One of the nicer rooms I stayed in, in India. Price was fair as well. I would definitely come back to stay again. Staff was good and helpful but sometimes there was a little bit of a language barrier or they didn't understand what I was asking in terms of something to do or a place to go to. Room... More

The room was basic and pretty clean for India and pretty good value for 600 INR. The shower was awesome, and the guys running the place were very nice. On the downside it is not that we'll situated as most of the restaurants and shops are on the other side of temple/Bodhi Tree. Additionally kids were setting off loud fireworks... More

Our first impressions of Deep Guest House were quite good, the staff seemed friendly and the room seem clean. On our second day our room was getting damper and damper, so much so our clothes in our bags were getting wet and smelly. We asked to more rooms however we were told this would not be possible unless we paid... More

This hotel is on the busiest and dustiest main artery into Bodh Gaya, which means that the location provides no protection from the worst noise and air-pollution in the entire area. Even by basic standards the hotel is extremely shabby. To get to and from the Temple and village centre from Deep GH you have to pass a horrid open... More

Stayed at Deep GH (+91 631 2200463) in Bodhgaya, very clean room (500 for a twin), small but practical. The room 112 remained surprisingly cool, a big plus considering the heat in april. Staff was very friendly. The location is a bit out of the way though, 15’ walk to the temple area.

One of the cheapest places we stayed - in return expect TV, hot(ish) water, hard beds and some noise (hey...it's India!). The staff are very friendly & helpful. A 5-10 minute walk to the Mahabodhi temple - further to the temples & giant buddha, but Bodhgaya is a nice town to walk around - and there's always a cyclo-rickshaw... The... More

I stayed here in recommendation from a friend I met travelling in India. It's not in the Lonely Planet but is mentioned in the great meditators guide "Along the Path" - if only I had a copy! The staff here are friendly, honest and very helpful. The rooms are clean enough and I had a window that looked out onto... More

We booked the place long time in advance (by phone) and were surprised when receptionist had specially waited for us that day. Staff there is extremely friendly and helping with everything, they even managed to get our laundry clean and ironed back in few hours (it usually takes one day). We got a room on ground floor with windows to... More

We arrive very late at the guesthouse and the staff were up waiting for us, which was good. They were very friendly, however they had not been entirely honest about the rooms when we rang to book. The rooms have no AC and they are quite damp with a lot of mould. My wife and I both got sick from... More

Deep Guesthouse is not mentioned in the Lonely Planet but we are sure, that is soon going to happened. We spent two nights in a standard room with attached bathroom for Rs.800. The room was not that big but really clean. We had hot water, TV and fan. The hot water was really hot and the shower was working proper... More
