Excellent and excellent location is key of this place and I love it, Clean and delicious food, WIFI only at reception area. No elevator. I have seen some new room with flat screen TV but my room have old TV. Old bed. New and clean bathroom with hot and cold water. Old air condition.

I think this hotel is in a great location however, not the best option for people who have infants, people who are elderly and with foot and knee problems or wheelchair bound individuals. This hotel has too many small stairs. The entrance to lobby itself has like 20 plus steep stairs and if your room happened to be on one... More

Mahayana guest house offers complete services such as airport transfer, group tours, group event transfer services including packed meals upon request for the special group event. Great restaurant with buffet. In house book shop, free wifi at lobby, tailored travel and tour upon request. The guest house is only 5 minutes walk to the main attraction of Mahabodhi Temple.

Rooms are fine, not great or grand, rather very basic, but clean and well equipped. The room service during off seasons is really poor, but if u do get food, its palatable and seems helathy, don't expect some cuisine. Laundary is poor, they use standard rate for garments, a hankey and jacket is of same rate, wow !

This is a place run by a Tibetan Monastery. The rooms here are pleasant and airy. In the courtyard and the spacious lobby you can even see monks often hold court. They say that His Holiness Dalai Lama stayed here during his visit to this place in Gaya in 1998. The basic amenities like television and restaurant are available here.... More

This is one of the best located guest houses in Bodh Gaya. It is really very close to the Mahabodhi main temple. The hotel has quite a nice ambience. There are nice courtyard areas. You find quite a lot of monks from different countries staying here, and also many tibetans, so it has a peaceful and contemplative vibe. The rooms... More

I did not stay at the Mahayana, because it was fully-booked, but I did see the rooms and have eaten at the restaurant many times. My impression is that this hotel provides excellent value at a very reasonable price. You will have to reserve long in advance because it is filled to capacity during peak seasons. The Mahayana is centrally... More
