This hotel is not too far from Mahabodhi temple and can get simple food after 5 mins walk. Staff are courteous and tried their level best to comply with our request. Just a 1 night stay here. Central location opposite the Japanese monastery. Room was lacking a little in cleanliness with a few cockroaches spotted. Air conditioner a little noisy but otherwise no issues. I would warn against eating in the restaurant: service is some of the slowest I have seen anywhere in the world: dinner took 90 minutes to arrive,... More

This was my fourth visit to Bodhgaya and out of all hotels I stayed, this was excellent quality. Was able to have a nice evening walk to the main temple every day since the... More

This was my second trip to Bodhgaya and had decided to book a 4-nights' stay at the Hotel Tokyo Vihar in January based on recommendations from the other Tripadvisor users. On the whole, I would say that it was no better or no worse than the other hotel which I had stayed in a couple of months ago (please see... More

Was here Dec 2012 for the Kagyu Monlan Aspiration prayers, being here during pilgrimage week was a perfect location to be, close enough to go by walking or take the bicycle rickshaw ( you help in giving the locals much needed revenue) . Breakfast buffet daily, the ala carte menu has ample selection, we enjoyed the chicken crispy, lassi yoghurt... More
