This is probably the best Hotel in Bodhgaya. But our experience was not very sweet. We had booked one triple-bed room in this hotel for two nights. We were three adults, two of whom were senior citizens. On arrival we were told at the reception that we don't have any reservation, but another person bearing the same from French Embassy... More

Bodhgaya is a popular spot for Buddhist pilgrims and for Indian holiday makers. It is, however, a desperately poor part of India that at the time of writing is still gripped in drought. Being a holy city, Westerners should expect a more sober atmosphere. This is not what you would call a "party town". While alcohol is available in restaurants,... More

A really nice, clean and courteous place tucked away in the back waters of Bihar. The staff is helpful and the food is clean and really tasty. The rooms are well maintained and really spacious. The Mahabhodi temple is a short distance away and if you want to go to the temple at Gaya, it can easily be arranged. Worth... More

I stayed for 2 nights. Only the suite was available. It was a bit chilly at night. They provided me with a space heater. I did see a lot off tour groups staying here. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. The food is average and service is slow. They do take a long time to bring your order.

The Royal Residency has good rooms, which is not an easy task to find in the area. Rooms are spacious, relatively clean and have a comfortable bed. Had a good night sleep. The bathrooms, as most bathrooms I met in India need a major renovation. The rest of the hotel is just average. Location is good but if you are... More

The rooms are good and spacious. And the bathroom was really good and big and clean and what not. The service is cordial and the staff are courteous. The food is slightly above average but I am not complaining. Would love to stay over here the next time I visit Bodh Gaya.

The rooms in the hotel are HUGE and clean. Royal Residency is famed to be one of the best hotel in Bodhgaya and is ideal if you are travelling in big groups or with family. However, if there is any event held while your stay there, you can expect the staff to be slightly disconnected and disorganised. The food is... More

The room was clean, spacious and silent. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby. It is close to the different monasteries, the stupa and Gaya airport. The food is varied and room service works well. You also find tea, coffee and complimentary bottle water in the room.
