Bodhgaya is not a huge city - it is a very religious and therefore a simple town with some famous temples and sites. So coming to this hotel, as a western tourist, please do not expect 5* luxury. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The rooms and large and the beds are very comfortable. The cold tab stopped working every... More

Hotel Royal Residency is the best place to stay in Bodhgaya. Rooms are big, clean & well maintain. Every day they chance towel bedsheets and other things. Staffs are helping and friendly in nature. Foods are also very good.

Had gone to gaya for religious purpose with family in Sep 2014. Stayed for 1 Night. Great hotel, comfortable, stay. Rooms are spacious and clean with good room service. Although the hotel caters most to Japanese tourists and some of the facilities are towards Japanese culture but hospitality is Indian with food being the best part.

This is one of the finest hotel in Bodhgaya which is 4* similar (I am not sure their GOI rating). A impressive lobby along with a huge multi cuisine restaurant, nice friendly people in front desk as well as in F&B outlets. Located not far from Mahabodhi temple and close to other hotels like Taj Darbar and Heritage etc.

Its a great hotel in terms of cleanliness and beauty and everything else was fab!!!! Best Experience: The beds were very snugly which was lovely....and everything was well placed and clean.....this was the best part.... Worst Experience: the waiters can't understand English...so i think that needs a improvement...cause they have to deal with many tourist particularly non-Hindi Speaking Traveller

This is probably the best Hotel in Bodhgaya. But our experience was not very sweet. We had booked one triple-bed room in this hotel for two nights. We were three adults, two of whom were senior citizens. On arrival we were told at the reception that we don't have any reservation, but another person bearing the same from French Embassy... More

Bodhgaya is a popular spot for Buddhist pilgrims and for Indian holiday makers. It is, however, a desperately poor part of India that at the time of writing is still gripped in drought. Being a holy city, Westerners should expect a more sober atmosphere. This is not what you would call a "party town". While alcohol is available in restaurants,... More

A really nice, clean and courteous place tucked away in the back waters of Bihar. The staff is helpful and the food is clean and really tasty. The rooms are well maintained and really spacious. The Mahabhodi temple is a short distance away and if you want to go to the temple at Gaya, it can easily be arranged. Worth... More
