Ahead of the beginning of the back-to-school frenzy that will soon commence, I shanghaied my lovely bride of 44 years and whisked her off for a short-notice visit to Mt. Pleasant and a stay at the Ginkgo Tree Inn. The entire experience was outstanding from the warm welcome by our hostess and owner of the establishment until our departure. The... More

So glad we found this gem! We stayed in the Mimi's B & B because the main house, Ginkgo Tree Inn, was sold out due to a wedding. (It also accommodated our family, of four, the best.) Our rooms (Sisley and Mimi) were very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We loved the huge wrap-around Victorian porch and gardens. The evening... More

We stayed one night on our honeymoon first bed and breakfast experience. The inn is located in heart of downtown. The weekend we went there was a beer fest and a carnival all within walking distance. This bed and breakfast is a bit more formal than the other ones we stayed on the rest of our trip. That said, very... More

We stayed at this B&B for 4 nights (April 2014) in the King sized Sugar plum room and everything was perfect. Jean our host and on site owner loves to pamper her guests and made us feel that staying here was a special treat. The restored mansion is immaculate, rooms are quiet and 5 star comfortable, complimentary wine on arrival,... More

Was in town for college homecoming; hospitality was wonderful. You're greeted with a tray of goodies (no extra charge for glass of wine). Proprietress was very kind to my kids. Rooms very comfortable and friendly staff. Gourmet crepes breakfast. Much better than staying in a boring hotel. Backs up to the River; only negative is there isn't really a common... More

I received a warm welcome and comfortable room. Nice surprise to find fresh-baked cupcakes waiting for visitors returning for the evening. Breakfast was served at the time requested and was generous and lovely. The room I booked was having work done and I was upgraded. Very nice.

My husband and I stayed in the golden oak room. It was absolutely georgous. They had bikes for us to use and there were paths and bridges, all by the river. Beautiful scenery all around to explore. We walked all over town. Great time. Great food too! Can't wait to go again!

Wow, what a fantastic place!!! We celebrated our 22nd anniversary here. It was perfect. Kari met us on the porch with a warm greeting. There were yummy and sweet treats on our bed. The room was very, very lovely. No detail was over looked. The entire house and the gardens were beautiful-from the library, to the porch. The woodwork, the... More

My husband and I stayed overnight on our way to Traverse City from Cleveland. It's a magical place. Clean, stylish, comfortable with great food. Dinner on the patio in the evening and breakfast prepared by Jean in the morning. Needs are anticipated and service was spot on. We look forward to coming back!

We stayed at the Gingko Tree Inn due to a gift certificate given to us for Christmas. We had a beautiful Victorian room in the front of the house, it couldn't have been more beautiful. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and most enjoyable. We extended our stay for another night due to the first night's experience. In the back... More
