We took our 11 year old twins for their first night in a hotel to Graskop as it had been a place we'd visited with my family years ago. We took 2 garden rooms and I was quite surprised to find that the hotel rooms did not match with the beautiful main section of the hotel. - the mattress was... More

The hotel is well maintained, the decoration of the room (garden) and of the common areas was nice and clean. Too bad the staff did not make you feel welcome. The city of Graskop itself has little to offer so don't plan to stay for long. There is an interesting curio shop near the hotel.

Good Morning I am sorry to hear that you were not made to feel welcome. Every guest is of extreme importance to us at Graskop Hotel. The small town has quite a few interesting shops as well as some nice restaurants, and the sigthseeing in the nearby vicinity is some of the best our country has to offer. Kind Regards... More

The hotel doesn't look much from the outside, but the rooms are clean and comfortable and the decor throughout the hotel was quirky and fun. Food was good and plentiful and there was a lovely open fire in the bar and the restaurant. Plenty of space in the lounges for relaxing and only a short walk to the main street... More

Arrived after a spell in Kruger, what and amazing, peaceful hotel. Checked into our Garden Room. Had been advised to turn on heating as room gets cold in evening if not ( with heater on room was pleasant all night ) Grounds to the hotel fantastic and in keeping with it's idililic, arty feel

6 of us arrived at this hotel after driving through a fairly rough looking main street. Even though we had been forewarned from reviews on this site, the hotel was quite amazing. 4 of us were in Garden rooms and were very happy with them, but my wife and I had one of the Art rooms on the upper floor... We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere of this hotel. The bedrooms are all uniquely decorated by various artists and the public spaces are full of wonderful artworks by local artists. The staff were friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend this establishment.

we stayed there for one night last May; the complimentary Amarula was a very nice welcoming gesture; we had the garden room no 6, nearby the pool; our room was adequate, clean and comfortable; very good breakfast buffet; very good supper also, with service at the table (no buffet).

Really good value for money but rooms are very noisy. We stayed on the street side of the hotel and had large trucks passing outside from 6am onwards. Also, the hotel has thin walls and wooden floors. Creaking footsteps and thumps and knocks from other rooms made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, a good and clean hotel with thought put... More

The staff was very friendly and made us feel right at home. The room, linen and bathroom was crisp and clean. There was a lovely warm fire going in the fireplace in the bar which was very cosy. The complimentary sherry or Amarula was a very nice welcoming gesture. Will definately stay there again.

Excellent location and great value for money. The staff are very attentive to the guests requirements. Buildings and grounds are immaculately kept. The accommodation is superb and very arty...a must see!
