The owners are very welcoming, they make the best eggs :-) reason i am mentioning this! I do not like eggs. Before the past weekend i had not had eggs in a year. Our Cabit was clean, we had wood daily. The owner made it easy for us to get to the places we wanted to see. This is why... More

We spent a beautifull 4 days here, and it was abolutely incredible the original owners were on vacation for the first 3 days, so we had two of their friends Johan and Inna looking after us, I have never in my life met kinder people. They are two of the most beautifull, caring loving people you will ever meet in... More

The cabin we stayed in very beautiful. Welcoming hosts, tasty rusks, refilled every day, lots of wood brought to the cottage for us to keep warm. It is a little treasure hidden in the mountains. The hosts when we arrived were very welcoming, Ine and Johann absolutely amazing people. And the owners are very nice too. It was a home... More

We visited Zur Alten Mine over the long weekend in June. What a little gem! I'm in agreement with all the other positive reveiws.. We stayed in log cabin number 2 and absolutely loved it! Cosy little cabin, lovely bathroom, cosy fireplace and plenty of wood, fresh stock of delicious rusks daily, lovely peaceful setting, oil lanterns and the fireplace... More

My boyfriend and I both thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay at Zur alten Mine. Our first night in the log cabin was excellent with a lovely fireplace. Our second night we got to stay in the Honeymoon Suite and it was a lovely cosy experience! The cabins are very quaint and private, and they have everything you need. The... More

Found this place just from other online reviews - and we were not disappointed at all! From our first email question to their follow-up email thanking us for our visit, the owners were very patient and helpful. When we arrived, they were right there to greet us and get us settled in to the Honeymoon Cabin, where we stayed 3... More

This is an absolutely beautiful little spot. We stayed in the Honeymoon Chalet, which is set far apart from the other chalets, overlooking a little dam. There is a fireplace inside the chalet, which was lovely after a long day's drive, both on the day we arrived and after spending the following day driving the Panorama Route. The hosts were... More

This is the perfect place to stay if you want the explore the Area. It's beautiful, quiet and allow very easy access to the area. Very friendly host. We stayed in the Honeymoon cabin, the pictures do not do the lovely atmosphere of the interior justice.

We really enjoyed Zur Alten Mine - very neat, tidy and cosy and a very peaceful getaway. Outdoor braai area very private. Indoor fireplace creates a beautiful atmosphere on chilly nights to sit and drink cocoa and marshmallows. Will definitely be back.

I travelled alone and could not ask for a better place with more solitude, peace and a sense of tranquillity. The accommodation was clean, neat, tidy, and provided everything I could possibly need. The cabin I stayed in had a beautiful log cabin feel and it was wonderfully warm and comfortable. The view was astounding. I sat on the porch... More
