Wonderful venue, beautiful pool, rooms built into the mountains with dassies running around the rocks. The sunset trip is awesome as is the morning walk. It would have been nice to go to the farm that supports the lodge... they're 80% self sufficient!! more

We spent two nights at the Canon Roadhouse to explore the Fish River Canyon area and really loved the atmosphere of this small, place in the middle of nowhere. The Canon Roadhouse was ideally located for us to visit the amazing Fish River Canyon on our recent trip to Namibia. "Roadhouse" may give a misleading impression of a rather basic highway stop for truck drivers - which couldn't be further from the truth. This little Oasis is an absolute delight. Just a short drive from the Fish River Canyon it has a super restaurant serving great meals all day. A refreshing pool to cool off and really friendly staff. It was a great place to end off our Namibia vacation. more

We actually camped at the Roadhouse, but enjoyed the same fantastic service throughout our stay as I'm sure the guests staying in rooms received. The food is fantastic and varied, and even had some great vegetarian options. We had some of the best meals in Namibia at the Roadhouse, despite staying in some 5 star lodges as well.
