During our Namibia trip this lodge was the best. Placed in a nice forest just on the border to Etosha park it has its own water hole and you can observe wild aninamls during your dinner. Very friendly and helpfull stuff, excellent food and wines, great houses.

Bit of a rushed trip and planned a one night stay but Nelson and Sarah and their staff were so helpful and charming and our accommodation was perfect so we stated two nights. Enjoyed our sundowner trip with William and could not recommend Aoba highly enough. Thank you

Our group of six spent two nights here and appreciated the very warm welcome from Nelson. This stop was really just to relax after some serious travelling around for two weeks. It is a very pleasant lodge to do so and to laze around the pool. I loved the tiny waterhole beyond, where small timid creatures would come to drink,... More

We spent 2 nights here and wish it had been 3 as it was superb. It is set about 15k from the entrance to Etosha through manned gates and as you travel alongside the National Park and realise that you stand a good chance of seeing animals on the drive to the lodge. We came across zebra and giraffe. When... More

We visited the lodge as a small group and realized very quick that all rooms have been newly renovated and decorated. The are very modern and stylish. We enjoyed our stay and even our sun downer was relaxing. Thanks to the staff.

We were expecting great things from Aoba but it didn't quite tick the boxes. Rooms were nice & clean, although when we arrived it was 39 degrees, sun streaming into the room & they hadn't thought to put the air con on, so it was very very uncomfortable which after a 6 hour drive wasn't helpful, in fact it never... Hi Tonyfrasercross, I am sorry to hear that you where disappointed with your stay at Aoba. We unfortunately had a very dry and hot start to summer that just did not want to end and this had an influence on your holiday. We generally do not leave air conditioners on if rooms are not occupied,in consideration of the environment. a... More

Our three week holiday for six adults in Namibia finished with two nights at Etosha Aoba Lodge. The welcome by Nelson, the Manager, was first class, as was the service by Albertina and all the staff. Food was also truly exceptional, especially after our stays in the Lodges within Etosha. Our sundowner game drive with William was also excellent. It... More

Travelling on motorbikes we had no other option than to use local facilities to watch the famous Etosha pan. One of the few providing guided tours in late October was Etosha Aoba Lodge. I have visited South African private game parks before (Pumba, Shamwari), so my expectations were high. However, it is not fair to compare Etosha with SA private... More

Aoba Lodge is just as enjoyable as Mushara but still different. The style is not so luxurious, more a natural way. There is the bush all around, a little waterhole (saw some dik-diks there), a nice terrace with fire-places where dinner is served. Our bungalow was one of the older ones, smaller, but still quite good, and closer to the... More

The guide was totally disinterested and to be honest I don't believe they had the animals they claimed to. The lodge itself is clean, beautiful and quiet and the staff very charming and helpful. But it's quite soulless and I think I'd chose somewhere else.
