We have been in 4 Wilderness Camps, and this was the worst by a mile. Unfriendly staff (apart from Adolf), food is basic and the guide was lost. Again, i am only comparing Ongava with other camps and they need to do a lot of catch up. The timing is bad, you leave late for the game drives and will... More

We stayed at Ongava for 3 nights - this is a great little bush camp, with a wonderful waterhole right next to the dining area where you can sit at night and watch the rino come to drink. The management team and guides were great and went to the effort to find specific animals on site for us, and on... More

Stayed three nights at Ongava tented camp, of the four Wilderness camps (one in Namibia, 3 Botswana, this one ties for first place. Pros- Private, crown-free Ongava reserve offers a nice compliment to oft-crowded Etosha Excellent management staff (Festus, Eli, Heinrich) compliments each other well. We stayed for 3 nights in October. Camping does not really do the site justice. This is "clamping" in fine style and in a wonderful location….your tent just metres from a waterhole frequented day and night by an amazing array of animals and birds. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the daily game drives and sundowners were fantastic.

We stayed for two nights in September and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The facilities are excellent. The camp management was always on top of everything going on and extremely helpful. While we can't personally compare this camp to Ongava Lodge, we felt being so close to the watering hole was a great way to enjoy the very good dining. Since... More

Camp We stayed in the Ongava tented camp for 2 nights in September and this was our favourite lodge/camp during our two week trip in Namibia. We just loved it! The open dining area and all the tent terraces have a view on the waterhole, which can get very busy with zebras, kudus, oryxes, and other types of antelopes. On... More

We stayed at Ongava tented camp for 3 nights, the camp is situated in Ongava reserve a 45 minute drive from Etosha. This was perfect for us as we had the chance to experience Etosha as well as the more private and flexible experience of driving in Ongava reserve. In ongava reserve we were lucky enough to see many rhinos... More

The camp management (Willy & Nandi) made this stay! They radiate enjoyment of their careers. The camp is at ground level looking out at a waterhole and the rooms have been renovated. The common areas are more traditional. Being escorted to your room at night by someone toting a rifle does wonders to impress upon you your potential nearness to... More
