Staff were friendly and helpfull. Meals were a good standard and varied, service was good. Wine selection was varied. The room was reasonably furnished and clean, functional rather than luxury, but you don't come here to spend time sitting in your room. Public areas well maintained and with a nice sitting area and bar. Warthogs wandering the grounds, hornbills in... more

The location of Mushara is perfect - less than 10km to the gate of Etosha. The Lodge itself is good, and the self-contained rooms are comfortable and clean. The main Lodge building is stylish and well-staffed. Just a couple of things that would improve the experience further - first, the owners were not visible and while their hosts are well-trained,... more

Very nice lodge with delicious food and very friendly, careful and flexible staff. Had interesting game drives with a competent guide/driver, well equipped with either breakfast basket at the morning or water and sundowner at afternoon. Only the room and especially the bathroom needs - in my opinion - to be fix up. more

My partner being in a wheelchair dictated where we stayed when visiting the East side of Etosha. And we were not disappointed. They had made a big effort with an accessible room with facilities that wouldn't suit all disabilities, but the rooms were large and cool. In fact our room had an extra room with a bed although they only... more

Mushara Outpost is situated only minutes away from the Von Lindequist Gate to the Etosha National Park - so a perfect location for exploring. It was raining when we arrived at the lodge - however, as soon as we drove up, the lady at reception came down to meet us with umbrellas and showed us to our tent - a... more

Thankfully we only had one night at Villa Mushara, as although it is the most exquisite villa, it is like a sweat box too, as the aircon unit is just not adequate enough for such a large space. On arrival, check in was smooth, and we were amazed by the villa. It is decked out to a very high quality... more

We spent one night at Mushara Lodge on our way to the east of Etosha. It is very close to the park entrance which was the main advantage for us. The grounds were well looked after (with a lovely pool area) and the food was of a good standard too. The main lodge is also beautifully decorated. We were slightly... more

We stayed in the private villas, and we were amazed at the stunning facilities. Watching the kudus and impalas drink from our own private water hole behind our villa was something we will never forget. The fine staff were very friendly, and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We went on safari tours with... more

My family stayed at Mushara Lodge for two nights in July 2007. On arrival we were ushered into the stunningly decorated reception/lounge and offered a cold drink and after a while escorted to our rooms, the hotel personnel hauling our bags on a large trolley. Great personal service! Our rooms were large and beautifully decorated and just a few metres... more

We stayed at Mushara for two nights whist visiting Etosha game park. The lodge is about 5 minutes from the east gate to the park and therefore in a very convenient location. From the east gate it then takes about 15 minutes to get to both Namutoni rest camp and some good water holes for animal viewing. The accommodation at... more
