The waterhole activity is fantastic here, but the accomodation and services are at best average. We stayed in a waterhole chalet (W1) which was right by the waterhole. No noise disturbance at night, as per other reviews, but the aircon noise may have covered up any other noises. The room was quite dark, there were at least 6 mozzies inside... more

We camped for 2 nights at Okaukuejo and loved it. On checking in the staff were obviously busy (much more so than at Halali) but they were still friendly and professional. We were allocated our campsite, however when we got to it, we found that it didn't have much shade so went back to the reception with a couple of... more

We had a Premium waterholeview. Room was perfect, exceptionnal view but that's all. Don't expect any services because there is none. No room service, the food is awful (even if you pay 350€, you are the same than people in the camping), waiters at the restaurant are agressive. It really doesn't worth to stay in such place more

The rooms were lovely and spacious with air con, moskito nets, fridge etc. Waterhole quite close by and plenty of seating/viewing space for everyone. We saw lots of action at the waterhole (rhinos, elephant, jakal, eagle owl, giraffe, lion). The only downside I would say is the size, a little big for my liking and due to the masses of... more

After reading the reviews here I was a bit apprehensive about my two nights stay at Okaukuejo. I was pleasantly surprised with the place! My room was in one of the Bush Chalets only a 1 minute walk from the waterhole. The room was spacious, had a small sitting area separate from the bedroom, an outdoor sitting area under a... more

Having booked over a year in advance we were able to secure one of the 5 Premier Waterhole Chalets for our 1 nght stay. This room was not cheap but to us was worth every penny as the location less than 20 metres from the Waterhole was breathtaking. The room also has a verendah which overlooks the Waterhole so you... more

A lot of people and a lot of coyotes there. Though it is quiet at night, and you just need to protect your trash from those little animals! Best part of this resort: the water point; we saw rhinos there, it was stunning! Also, from a driving distance, you can see a lot of animals drinking in ponds that are... more

Having read some mixed reviews commenting on both the small size of rooms and levels of service, we were pleasantly surprised on both counts. Stayed here for 3 nights - one night in a bush chalet and second two in a room. The bush chalets are grouped in double units fairly close to the waterhole (although all rooms are really... more

I was a little concerened about what the standard of accomodation would be like. I was wrong, the room was fine. Simple, no frills, but clean well maintained and comfortable. A small kitchen area was also included. We only stayed here one night which I regretted, this would have been a good base. The restaurant was buffet service, with your... more

Stayed in the waterside chalet. Room fitted with all that you need, aircon, fridge, mosquito net, shampoo, shower gel, lotion - but no space in which to move around in,.. It is much too small, particularly for the price. we found holes found in the mosquito net, hairs in the bed, after taking a shower, water leaked into the bedroom,... more
