We had a lovely time at the Bush Camp with our 8 month old baby. The bungalow we were in was chic & stylish in an understated. The shower was very good. We visited in February & still saw a lot if animals on our game drives with Atun. The staff were very friendly & helpful & the in house... More

Reservation service at Onguma is non-existent: we have been trying to make reservation at Onguma Bush Camp with zero effect: all our messages e-mailed to three different e-mail addresses of Onguma have been ignored. When we tried to phone to Onguma's office number 061 237055 this morning (10 February 2015) a woman refused to answer and dropped the line. Perhaps... More

I am so sorry that you experienced such bad reservation service from us recently. Our systems went offline for a few days and it took us more than a week to catch up with the backlog and resulting chaos. We had lodge staff helping with reservations and worked over weekends to try and clear it. But, unfortunately, we were not... More

We stayed July 2014 & had a ball! First time to Etosha so loved watching the watering hole at night. Great animal sightings with Eric--make sure you do the game walk one morning, it was interesting, we learned a lot. And the harrumphing of a lion nearby certainly added to the thrill!

We stayed in the smallest rondavel at Onguma Bush Camp and that was small for two persons. Beds were fine, bathroom was fine, but there was hardly any space left for the luggage, and you could not sit anywhere inside if you wanted to get away from the heat. The rating of the room is therefore based on how we... More

An attractive spot just outside the Von Lindguist gate to Etosha, reachable by tarred roads. The main attraction is a waterhole with lovely views over the bush. Accommodation is simple but comfortable, and nice shower gel, shampoo etc is provided. Staff are friendly, food good (but nothing special) and there is a nice pool area overlooking the water hole with... More

As most of others wrote: location close to Namutoni gate, Etosha. Waterhole (Bush Camp) directly at restaurant/ bar boma. Friendly service people. ´Garden and pool area like an oasis. Little extras like the welcome hot towels or the good night story on your pillow. Rooms (rondavels) well maintained, clean and spacious. Bathroom top. Beds fine. Slept very well. Could have... More

I actually loved the one night we had at the Bush camp - the photo's I've seen don't do it justice. It is constructed of beautiful timbers and has a range of peaceful areas to sit and relax - together with the obligatory waterhole to attract animals to you while you eat or relax by the pool. The rooms are... More

The bush camp is conveniently placed to explore the eastern sides of Etosha NP. Featuring a private landing strip (fairly close) with giant termite mounds and excellent rooms, one can relax besides the nicely managed water hole, have a cold drink and even lock eyes with a "pumba" (warthog) that just managed to break under the fence to graze on... Nice clean rooms, good food and excellent service from Mattheus. Stayed two nights and spent a day lounging in the lounge area overlooking the waterhole, after 8 weeks of touring around. Our first evening, we had a bull elephant come visit for over 2 hours until some loud guests scared him away. During his visit, I was able to get... More

Stayed for 2 nights in order to spend one morning checking out the eastern most water holes in Etosha since we still had until 12:00 on our Etosha permit. Our room was in one of the long buildings and was OK as far as decoration and a basic, working bathroom. It had a loft area where 2 children could sleep,... More
