My Fiance' and I went up here to get away for a weekend last fall. The rooms look in person exactly as they do in the photos and they were pleasant. The breakfast in the morning is a typical continental breakfast with the option to make waffles. The only downfall I thought it had was the location, there were no... More

We used a groupon, and it was supposed to be a 2-night stay (I bought 2 groupons, therefore 2 rooms). The first night there was great! Crazy things started from the second day noon. We were about to leave for sightseeing, and was told that one of our two rooms had to check out, since it was only booked for... More

We used a groupon and were very excited to go to what is describe a beautiful inn. We arrived and .waited quite a long time for the girl to get off the phone and make eye contact with us. She never said "Welcome" she never smiled. We asked questions because she offered no conversation. Our room was on the 2nd... More

My wife and I stayed a week, in May 2010, we had a great time. The staff was always courtious and friendly. The view isnt the best but very nice. There is pleanty to do for outdoors people in walking distance. Breakfast was good and open late, also an early evening baked treat to enjoy with the sunset. Pleanty to... More

We were skeptical about staying here for 2 nights in late November...what to do in a lakeside town this time of year? The first impression of everyone in our group was 'wow' with lots of ooh's and ah's. The room was more 'fancy' than we expected. The stone fireplace was very nice, jacuzzi tub definitely takes up a lot of... More

My husband and I used Groupon to get away from the chaos of city life. While the staff was young and sometimes unavailable, we were able to relax and take in the small town vibe that Montague gave to us. The hot tub was nice. The view was beautiful. The breakfast was decent. Besides the lack of attendence at the... More

Where to start... Unfriendly staff from the start, never seen a smile and could heard them making snide comments. Unprofessional staff at check in walking around barefoot. The room looked nice... however a romantic getaway.. not even close. A door connected my room and the neighbors so I could hear them whisper, the sounds of the child and the dog... More

We took advantage of the Groupon & felt that we got a fair deal for the price we paid. The staff was very friendly & the fresh-baked cookies every night was a nice welcome. The room was clean & neat. The view was beautiful & the fireplace in the room was wonderful, but those wouldn't be enough for us to... More

Maybe our expectations were too high. This is an old building, and while that adds to its character and charm, it is still just that - an old building. Attention to detail is not a priority. Paint was scraped off in many places in our room, including near the ceiling. (We couldn't figure this one out.) Several blinds were broken... More

We found our room and the property to be in excellent condition. the staff were friendly and helpful. the room was large. We didn't use the in room jacuzzi but when we got there, the bottle of champagne and (faux) rose petals around it was a nice welcome. Our bed was comfortable and our only complaint was some noisy children... More
