Yummmmm Chocolate chip cookies in the evening. BUT shucks not for the Gluten Free, same with the breakfast! The room was a little pricey for not being able to enjoy the little extras. Yes, if you have a four legged companion, this is a great place. We had a balcony and so did our doggy neighbor, so if we were... More

The Weathervane Inn looks a little outdated and worn from the outside but it appears to be newly updated on the inside. Your first opinion when walking inside is the reception desk. The individual working there was not friendly at all. We arrived for a mid-week vacation so the town was quiet, there were only two other cars in the... More

This was a very nice place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. They are very dog friendly and have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the evening. It was a little odd that there are rooms that open to the lobby, but we were not disturbed by noise. My only complaint was that whenever I passed, with the... More

Homey and quaint. Upon arrival, I stood at the desk for a good 5 minutes before an employee came in from outside to check me in. She didn't even say hello or that she was sorry for making me wait. Our room was upstairs. For those traveling who need wheelchairs or cannot use stairs, make sure you inform them ahead... More

to enjoy a family reunion wedding on the Michigan lakeshore! We stayed two nights and some of our family stayed there as well. We had the lake view king which features a Jacuzzi in the room along with a fireplace (not needed in July) but I'm sure delightful in the winter months. The room is a bit crowded with the... More

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. For the price, the room was small, the staff wasn't friendly at all, and the "view" from our room was of the roof and air conditioner. It was mostly clean, but the bathroom left something to be desired. Overall it wasn't worth it, and unless you get one of the better... More

The hotel was nice. Unfortunately there were things out of the hotels control that made our stay unpleasant. My husband and I stayed here for a weekend trip and planned on relaxing and sleeping in a bit. Unfortunately that did not happen. We could hear the people in the next room and in the hallway.

The rooms are very cozy with a large whirlpool tub, gas fireplace and balcony overlooking the water. Across the street is a market where I picked up a six-pack from a local brewer and kept it chill in the small fridge in my room. Rooms have more amenities than most hotels I've stayed that cost twice as much. Staff was... More

Thru a special promotion we first heard of the Weathervane Inn in Montague, MI. Not knowing much of the Inn or the area we did some research – and then made our reservation. Upon arrival and throughout our stay we were even more pleased everything. Our room was waterside with a deck overlooking the harbor – a beautiful place to... More

We decided to spend the night after a day at Michigan's Adventure, rather than driving straight back home. We opted for the 2 queen beds, giving up the balcony for the extra space for the 4 of us. The room is located right by the desk, and had a door to create an adjoining room. What I loved were the... More
