We had contacted Eagle Lodge to inquire about a few things we felt their website didn't clearly outline before we made a final decision on where to book for our stay in Copper Harbor. John answered and I immediately got an off vibe from the call. So much so I felt awkward calling back to make a reservation, but we... More

I spent one night here while traveling with my son. I cabins look old and the interior is dated. But you are at the end of the Keneewnaw Peninsula and come winter, there are very few people here. You aren't going to find a Hilton. The bedding was very clean with crisp sheets, nice pillows, and nice blankets. The cabin... More

After reading reviews here, I knew we would be in for a rustic adventure, but I wasn't prepared for the level of uncomfortableness we encountered. First issue was there were no floor coverings aside from linoleum. I wasn't comfortable walking around barefoot after taking a shower. Had to leave shoes on the whole time. The walls and ceiling were made from... More

I'm sorry these folks were not comfortable. The cabin they stayed in is our smallest cabin, a one room cabin with bathroom and we always let potential guests know this. The rest of our cabins have separate bedrooms, living areas and kitchens. This cabin does have a nice screened in porch with a good view of the water. I'm a... More

My Husband, daughter, and myself spent 2 nights here. This is the most gorgeous location in Michigan I have ever been. This property is right on Lake Superior. You can see sunrise and sunset from here and they are both equally beautiful. The cabins are a bit rustic, but the owners are both very friendly and will help you any... More

When I called to make a reservation here, I was told ahead of time that the cabins weren't fancy, that they were built in the 1950s or 1960s, and that they were remodeled in the 1970s. This being 2015, that remodeling is now 40 years old, and it shows. But I was forewarned, so I am not complaining about any... More

I'm sorry these folks did not find the cabin satisfactory. Since buying the cabins in 2000, we have made many updates including running new electricity to all the cabins, putting in new windows in virtually all the cabins, new siding, new roofs, new flooring in most, new kitchen appliances, and the list goes on. Perhaps they did not understand that... More

With my family I rented a standard 2 bedroom cabin for one week. It was a wonderfully relaxing week of games, conversations and sunrises/sunsets. The owners' gracious and generous hospitality was great. The cabin was clean and well suited for a quiet week in the woods and on the lake shore. Now that we're back in Chicago, we dearly miss... If you want a sterile, franchise-like vacation experience, then don’t come here. However, if you, like us, prefer a genuine up-north feeling, come to Eagle Lodge Lakeside. This unspoiled, natural, quiet setting directly on the shores of Lake Superior charmed us from the moment we arrived. The cozy cabins are simple but well-appointed, with a vintage feel. You really get... More

Where should I begin? The accommodations were rustic, as some call it but "outdated" in our book. Even though we were told we would have certain accommodations like a fireplace and queen size bed, we didn't mind that we didn't have either of these. We actually had a lot of laughs at the expense of the outdated decor, worn and... More

This is a newly remodeled cabin with brand new kitchen and bathroom cabinets, fixtures and flooring. Walls are drywall with real knotty pine wainscoting throughout the cabin. This man was very angry because the satellite TV was out due to snow and ice accumulation on the dish. He wanted me to get a ladder, climb up to the roof and... More

We stayed here 4 day in July 2013. Our reserved cabin had a plumbing problem so John put us in the log cabin right on the lake. The log cabin is the best on the property. Very comfortable with a fireplace (although we didn't need it in late June), TV, very nice kitchen and the views of Lake Superior cannot... More
