I live in the area, have used hotel for my Daughter's wedding and when my Aunt Pat comes to visit from Chicago, never any complaints! There is not much for kids to do around here, but this hotel offers swimming and Jacuzzi for $5 on weekdays!!! I love it!!! Thank you AuSable Vally Inn!!! You are an inspiration to the... More

Very friendly, very clean and exactly what we needed after a long couple of driving. Was also quiet and peaceful. We went to a motel first but terrible customer service then found this hotel, this place deserves 5 stars. We will be back again and thank you!

For the size of this place, the ice machine is way too small. I know this because i got in trouble for filling my ice bucket twice. It was very distasteful to be scolded for needing a second bucket of ice. They are the Ice Police . They have the place for sale i saw a for sale sign. I... More

This is my go to place in Mio, Michigan. It is my home town and I stay there several times a year. It breaks my heart when I can't get a room there. The other choices in town are rather dismal. Not the fanciest place in the world but clean and the staff are great. I always feel like I... More

We had a family emergency and had to travel to Mio. Room was clean and pretty much what you would expect. Chair, table, small microwave and refrigerator but we did not use. TV was small (19"), which we are not used to so that was a little drawback but we weren't there for very long anyway. Had a small problem... More

This is a very basic hotel in the Mio, Michigan area. I will start with the property's good points. The biggest plus to this place is that it is CLEAN. The rooms are simple and exactly what you would expect in a normal hotel room. There is a small fridge and microwave. We reserved a room with a king size... More

This is a non-descript hotel just off the main highway, characterized by friendly, casual management and an indoor pool and hot tub. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave which is ideal for families just completing a hiking trip. The hotel is not lavish in any way but it doesn't advertise itself in any other way but... More

Check in was easy...Easier than making the reservation. Front desk staff were very nice! Room was larger than I expected...good size, not a closet. Bed covers were VERY DATED and dark, bed sagged in the middle (probably would not be that much of a problem with one person). They had Air Conditioning....but it was very loud. Nice that they had... We spent a night here while canoeing in the area. It is a small but very clean motel. The price was reasonable. I believe we paid about $70. The bed was comfortable. The large bathroom was clean and water pressure was good. It had a small refrigerator and a microwave. We were very pleased and have paid much more for... More

The good? Well, the hotel was nice and clean and the front desk staff was very nice. The Bad? It just so happens a large storm passed thru and took out power to some of the hotel. We were impacted. No light, no water (no flushing either) and not temp. control of the room. We arrived back from a fun... More
