The National House Inn is amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. The room was comfortable and very clean. They have private parking, that leads right into the Inn. There was a very nice lady there to check me in, and gave me pop corn! The Inn is homey, decorated in antiques and very well... More

Had a nice one night stay. Met friends for a get together. It was lots of fun. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. Room was generous in size with queen sized bed...pretty comfortable. Nice, updated bathroom with excellent shower. Lots of food. Breakfast was tasty...quiche, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, coffee cake, pastries, toast and even waffles. In... More

I was visiting family at a stressful time. This wonderful place was truly a refuge! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. We stayed 4 days. Rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. I plan to stay here every time I go back to Michigan!

We stayed at the historic National House Inn in the Brooks Room for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Inn's location, across from a fountain/park, and comfortable walking distance to restaurants and shopping, is ideal. Breakfast, while plentiful and nicely presented, is pretty much the same each day. That probably wouldn't matter if only staying a night or... More

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We did have a run in with one of the guest that wanted to park directly next to our motorcycle and then opening up their car door into the bike. The owner immediately defused the situation and was very kind and professionally. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was... More

We stayed at the Inn for the Marshall Garden Tour weekend. The location was perfect - right next to the stunning fountain. We were able to walk to all areas of interest - - Garden Tour, Farmers Market, Garden Market, Schuler's Restaurant and Dark Horse Brewing Company. The Inn is beautifully decorated with much attention to detail. The staff were... More

The National House Inn is truly a piece of history. Our stay entire stay was excellent. Our room from the ground floor provided an excellent view of the town's water fountain which changes colors at dark. Our room was large and decorated more int he time period of the house. The breakfast hearty and the staff was quite friendly/helpful.

My wife loves antique shopping so we took a trip to Marshall, Michigan. We had read about the National House Inn and decided to try it. The Inn has about 14 rooms and each a little different. Our room was very nice and clean. The fireplace added charm. Our room did have a small bathroom but some rooms had bigger... More

This inn, right on the village green in historic Marshall, has been around since something like 1835. I was told stories of ghosts and slave-hunters, and should have lingered longer than I did to look at the old photos and memorabilia that decorate the public areas. The stairs are steep, the walls are ancient wood, and the rooms, any that... More

We were in town for an event at Dark Horse (yes...go there too), and made a couples weekend out of it. You are walking distance from museums, shopping, Dark Horse, and Schuler's Restaurant. The inn has a lot of history - ask the staff. Very nice people. If you want to stay at a fun historic inn, then make your... More
