We were in need of a B&B that could hold all three couples. We chose the National House Inn because it was highly rated and because it had many rooms. The staff were welcoming, fun-loving, and knowledgeable. The décor fit the 1835 construction date of the inn, and many interesting bits of historical information were placed all around the place.... Third visit to the National House Inn and have never been disappointed. Walking distance to Win Schulers, Dark Horse Brewery and The Stage Coach Inn. Historic bed and breakfast that was a delightful stay. I would recommend that if you are a light sleeper you stay upstairs because it has less noise with the creaking of the floors. Special discounts... More

My father, my aunt, and I visited Marshall for one night earlier this month. We are so happy to have found the National House Inn. Our stay was utterly delightful. Debbie, the innkeeper during our brief time in town, made us feel right at home and had great advice on local sites and restaurants. Little touches throughout, like lemonade, iced... More

Lovely inn, very welcoming. All the rooms are different and full of history. We arrived late, after 10pm, which wasn't a problem however we found that our allocated room had been given to someone else, so we scored a free upgrade to a suite room! The bed was very comfortable and we had a sitting room too! Breakfast was delicious,... More

Th National House Inn is a beautiful historic inn, nearly 200 years old. Our room was immaculate and comfortable with a sparkling clean bathroom. The breakfast was very nice with a small buffet including cereals, hard-boiled eggs, pastries, and a table for toasting breads and English muffins. Waffles were also being made to order. Our only disappointment was at the... More

I loved the NHI. Everyone was wonderful, clean, and food was delicious. I liked their ghost stories, and I found out they're on the national registry for that. THEN, I was fixing martini's in the restroom to be near the water, and my full bottle of vodka went flying across the room. It didn't fall vertically down to the floor... More

Beautiful historic building. I felt like I stepped back into the 1800s when I walked in. Our room (Ellis) was bright and comfortable. Bath could use a little work but all in all not bad for the price. I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful evening at the National House Inn. The room was very comfortable and just what we needed for a get away. Barbara, our host, was very informative about the area, and served us a delicious and filling breakfast. The Inn was charming and there are many great stories about the place. Our bathroom was amazing with a large... More

This place truly is a historical inn. The floors in the registration area are the original boards from the mid-1800s. We had a two-room suite that was very comfortable and full of antiques. We had a bathroom and a powder room in the suite which was a pleasure when getting ready in the morning. Kassie, who checked us in, was... More
