I regret using Hotwire to book my hotel in Marquette. There were two options when I tried, and this was the 2.5 star option. The hotel is located several miles out of downtown, so you're going to need to drive. The gym is a complete joke --a handful of the lowest-end cardiovascular equipment and no weight equipment (free weights or... more

Stayed here two separate nights in early June while on business in the U.P. While this is an older hotel, they have done a pretty good job with keeping it reasonably up to date. There are a few newer places to stay, but I tend to try to find the HiltonHHonors or Priority Club facilities. The room was clean, but... more

Spent two days at this hotel on business. Room was merely adequate in size and amenities. However, I was blown away by pool. It's HUGE, the size of a high school competitive swim pool, and wonder of wonders it actually has a deep end! And the hot tub is big enough for 20! And there's actually a sauna (which up... more

Very disappointed in our stay here this summer. Things have become significantly run down and dirty. The staff verged on unfriendly and one of the female bar tenders in the lounge was down right rude. They would also close down the lounge early on a whim. House keeping was only so-so in the rooms and the hallways and grounds were... more

We stayed at this hotel September 29th, 2007. We were able to obtain a group rate of $79.00 as my son had a football game at the superior dome. AAA rate was about $120.00 Reading the previous reviews I was a bit hesitant. However, it was very nice. It would be worth the $120.00 What people need to consider when... more

This hotel, with it's years old "renovated" sign out front was a serious disappointment. I've stayed there on business more than once, and each time was more disapointing than the last! The bar seemed very old fashiond and the furniture was drab and full of cigarrette burns. In addition, there wasn't anyone in the bar besides me and the the... more

We were in Marquette for the Softball In The Dome tournament with the procedes going to the local Special Olympics. This was our second year at the Holiday Inn and the exact same experience as the year before. Front desk staff were OK. We have always had some trouble and grief when changing room numbers as we get closer to... more

I remember getting a standard room eight years ago for $69/night. I just paid $104 for the same type of room. Despite some recent rennovations--seems like just new furniture and wallpaper, this hotel has the same outdated slightly dingy feel you expect from today's Holiday Inns. The only reason I chose this is because of my Priority Club Points, and... more

My husband and I booked a room at this hotel since it had been quite some time since our last visit. What a disappointment! We should have stayed at the Comfort Suites, which is our usual choice while in town! The room (a King) was adequate, with a desk and small sofa. However, despite the recent remodeling efforts, it was... more

I’ve stayed at this motel twice, once a few years ago and again this last fall. The motel has definitely improved with the new updating. The room was large and comfortable, also clean and well furnished. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds have been nicely replanted and are now well landscaped along with a nice pet... more
