The owner doesn't honor published rates. He charges significant increases over rates and then asks for cash so he can give a discount which is still over the high end of published rate, at $44! Sites are gravel and unlevel. There are many people living here and unkempt sites.

We camped here in a 40 ft. rv and a tow vehicle. We had plenty of room. While the campground is very woodsy, it does need some work. The bathroom was clean. Showers are older. I never found the Laundromat at the campground, but of course with all the iron in the water I was afraid it would brown my... More

We had our RV parked here for 9yrs. The owner, Jeff, never charges anyone the same price. I found out that he had been charging me 2x what he normally charged other "seasonal" campers. I always paid our rent during the winter before the summer season started. He DOES NOT give refunds. He does provide cable that usually works. Most... More

The location is prime for this campground. While across the road from a nice access to Lake Superior, it has wonderful sites for RVs, almost all of them pull-throughs. Very woodsy and tenters would love the area set aside for them. We were there this past Memorial Day weekend (Sunday) for an overnight on our way around Lake Superior and... More

I paid Jeff a $250 deposit to stay in the "supercabin" but when i got there to check the place out it was NOTHING like what he had described. the picture on the website shows a working hottub and he had told me that the other people that were staying there were other young adults like myself. FALSE ADVERTISING! the... More

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner. Prices for the hole family was decent. Had individual showers and compared to a state park showers were amazing. The owner obviously put a lot of work into it . Cable tv full hook ups and camp fires at the sites . Well wooded sites. An outdoor movie theater. And right across... More

Everything that is told is most likely a lie...bathrooms are so filthy, wood they charge 20$ for a tiny wheel barol not even half the size of a regular one. Our wood went missing after we brought our own and notified we didn't have to buy any. Fudge shop has been closed for years yet still advertised. Didn't see any... More

The website made this seem like a great place to camp. Upon arrival, it seemed that may be the case but reality soon came to light. The bathrooms are something out of the 80's. They don't appear to have been updated since then except for a poor painting job of the counter tops (whoever heard of painting counter tops). The... More

Bathrooms are Filthy. And were for 4 days. There is no fudge shop, no access to the lodge and he says he shows a movie every night, but it was like pulling teeth to get one for one night only. Says "this will be the best camping you've ever done". or not. I had to go and buy bleach to... More

I am certain that this was once a great place, but unfortunately the changing times and apparent neglect have taken a toll. The camping sites are large and nicely wooded. One or two sites have a view of lake Superior, but all seem very nice. We were here after the owner had shutdown all but a few sites for winter... More
