I spent two nights here over the weekend and was extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the room. This place is about half the price of other places so don't expect anything fancy. You might expect a scary dirty room based on the price, but that is definitely NOT the case. The bathroom was spotless, not even dirty where you... More

My sister & I brought our mother to Marquette for a doctor appt. There was a horrendous snow storm so we had to spend the night (actually two nights). We stayed here because it was cheap and good location. The staff was friendly and the rooms were okay. It did not have a coffee pot (although we were told we... More

We've stayed at the Value Host for many years when we are in Marquette. This time it was not up to par. The room was dirty and the carpet was especially bad. The property is in need of a complete update..

My husband and I stayed Sept. 3 while traveling through the U.P. The staff was friendly, room very clean and bed comfortable. No extras -- frig, microwave or hair drayer -- but worth the price. Our room was on the 2nd floor, highway side and very quiet. Breakfast was minimal with mini-muffins, doughnuts, and toast; everything seemed fresh. A bagel... More

Found this was one of the only motels available so we were a little skeptical. However, it was fairly cheap ($65) a very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's a little outdated, but not to bad. No, microwave-fridge or coffee maker. Floor was a little squeaky in places but again not bad. I would stay again

Stayed the night August 7th. The hotel has a nice location. The check-in with smooth. Then room was nice, with no frills. The beds were comfortable and I believe this place is worth the price. Never used the morning breakfeast so can't comment on that. The main floor hall way had an odor to it. Not sure what it was... More

I was really impressed with how clean and comfortable the room was. The staff member who signed us in should learn to be more people friendly and smile. The only real issue was that they use a flat sheet to make the bed. When making the mattress the flat she is tucked at the top leaving the foot of the... More

Not looking for much more than a good night's sleep. Found a quiet, quality hotel. Room was large, bed comfortable, room quiet, great location to do things in Marquette. Will stay again unless we need a pool for the kids. Nice place to stay and good price.

We were extremely surprised at how Clean and well maintained this hotel is. It is older, but Very Clean. They were super nice! The room was very affordable! We would stay here again, but I will bring a Hairdryer next time, there was none in the room. The breakfast was small, just donuts and muffins and toast, but it was... More

This is my standard choice in Marquette for my long weekends in summer here, and I've never had any problems. Pretty bare bones, but functional and convenient to downtown and the lake, and—here's the big thing—half the price of hotels in the central city or near NMU, and newer, cleaner, and more convenient than the real cheapos up on US-41....
