My wife and I spent a weekend in Marquette for a hockey series and chose the Cedar Motor Lodge based on reviews here and surprisingly low prices. We were, admitted, a little nervous after following a similar path last summer in Munising where our budget accommodation choice was flat-out awful. The Cedar Motor Lodge was a welcome surprise. The rooms... More

Had to stay at a hotel for a weekend for a work training. I had to pay for the trip myself and was later reimbursed. I decided to stay somewhere cheap to save on my wallet until I was reimbursed. It was a very decent room for a decent price. Rooms appeared very clean. Props to the housekeeping!

I was very tempted to give this place 5 stars but 4 is probably more appropriate. As has been said this is a small mom & pop place. Has been redone over the years and you can see the owners take pride. What I like: Marquette chains are inappropriately expensive! $160 a night for a Country Inn; please! For less... More

We travelled on an extended bike trip of the Upper Peninsula like we often do and enjoy a reasonably priced place with a homey feel so we tend to stay away from the "big" chains. We also like the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing pool/whirlpool etc with a few drinks at the end of the day and this place had... More

We headed to Marquette for a visit at Northern Michigan University. It has been over 20 yrs since we spent any real time in that part of the state. I used TripAdvisor to find a place for us to stay the reviews were good and I did not need a 5 star suite. This place was clean, comfortable and we... More

This is the cheapest rate for a pet room that I found in Marquette ($89). The Settle Inn is the 2nd best rate. Without a pet the Cedar Motor Inn has a $50 room with a full bed, but I didn't check it out. The pet room has a queen bed & is very roomy & has a lg flat... More

the room was very clean, shower worked well, and the beds were comfortable. At this price point it was great. Only two minor complaints. The first is that there are not enough grounded electrical outlets. We had to alternate laptops. Second, the wi-fi was dead slow. If you have multiple electronic devices bring a power strip, but this is true... More

We stayed here in July during the 100 degree heat wave. The indoor pool was like swimming in the artic. My 2 year old would not stay in the pool and he loves swimming. The hot tub was much better and most people gravitated to this after a quick dip in the pool. The electricity in the rooms is old... More

The Cedar Motor Inn was a great experience from the moment I emailed with questions to the moment we (quickly and easily) checked out. It's a clean hotel with a fantastic pool and hot tub and even a steam sauna. We had a large, pool side room that came at a great price. I would stay here again and highly... More

This is a small family run hotel. The room was very clean. The pool, sauna& spa areas were clean and everything was in working order. Close to downtown marquette and other attractions. Towels are kind of small and thin but they were very willing to provide extras. Also shampoo was not the best & they do not provide lotion. Overall... More
