My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of July. We were very pleased with everything. The breakfast could be more,,but I would rather have less and have this great room for less of a cost. Plus there were many restaurants near by that had breakfast. The staff were all very kind and friendly,,the room was... More

I needed basic lodging in Marquette for a recent trip for me and my 2 grandchildren, and decided on the Cedar Motor Inn, mainly because of the reasonable price. So glad I did! The rooms were large - we required the addition of a roll-away bed, and there was more than enough room for it with the existing 2 beds... More

My son and I along with our dog were delayed in Marquette, by an accident. We stayed 3 nights and found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. They have a nice pool and sauna. They offer a continental breakfast but Perkins was in easy walking distance. The rates were reasonable for the summer in the Upper Peninsula. We were... More

We recently stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the area and NMU. The price was right seeing how I didn't want to pay twice as much for a chain and we like using local businesses when we can. The staff was friendly and the room was spotless. The TV was old and the internet connection was not the best,... More

Thank you for your nice comments! Our family and staff work very hard to have a great property. We're not one of the "big guns" but we don't want to be because we know our guests want a good value for their hard-earned dollar and we deliver that every day, that's why they keep coming back. We're not a restaurant... More

After four weeks (and 4000+ miles) of traveling, we were pleased to find the AC cold, the pool clean and spacious, and the room comfortable. Wifi is good and was 5 mb/s when I checked (that's plenty fast for most folks). Laughed at the small, old CRT 19" television, but too tired to care. Good value at $92 plus taxes... More

Very Clean quiet Staff very Friendly Did not use maid service but the maid was there every morning to switch out our dirty towels for clean ones. Not the Holiday Inn, but very nice. Met our needs for sleeping and bathing. Close to the Lake and many places to eat. Will stay here again. The only negative was the the... More

Stayed here on a weekday visiting the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rate was around $60.00 per night. This is a 1970s style wooden looking hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean but need to be updated with modern furniture and TVs. My room had a 1990s big TV. The pool, sauna, and hot tub were nice. They only have... More

Clean, quiet and comfortable family owned hotel. Location is great on main highway through town. Mall and restaurants nearby. Pool is a bonus. Rooms are tastefully decorated and the property is very well maintained. We definitely will use again in the future.

This is my second and last time staying here. The first time I had a different room, but this time had room 110. First of all, I think the bed was made of concrete. Second, there is a very bright light outside the room in the indoor corridor that shines into the room. We were up often because of the... More

In my experience, guests with particular preferences in bedding usually advise or question us when making the reservation, or when they come in off-the-road. That way, we immediately do the best we can to accommodate them from the onset, even possibly suggesting they look at the room before checking in. Along the same vain, when guests have issues once they’ve... More

My wife and I spent a weekend in Marquette for a hockey series and chose the Cedar Motor Lodge based on reviews here and surprisingly low prices. We were, admitted, a little nervous after following a similar path last summer in Munising where our budget accommodation choice was flat-out awful. The Cedar Motor Lodge was a welcome surprise. The rooms... More
