My husband and our best friend stayed down the road from this lodge for a fishing trip. We we forced to eat there due to lack of restaurants. Food was consistently horrible . Last night we orders onion rings. They were slimy not fried with no batter. Never mind our friends BLT that he said was wet. WET?? Yep wet.... More

I read most of the reviews of GL, and they seem to be pretty negative. i haven't stay overnite there for over 30 years, so I don't have an opinion about the accommodations. I did stop there for lunch yesterday, and I enjoyed it. Lake Gobebic is the biggest inland lake in Michigan. The Lodge is what you would hope... More

My wife and I rented a 1 bedroom cabin at Gogebic Lodge in 1996 and man did we get ripped off. The cabin looked good in their pictures but I raise chickens and my chickens live in better accommodations than this cabin provided. Every floor slanted heavily. The toilet wasn't bolted to the floor and every time I got off... More

We rode our sleds from Wisconsin to the Gogebic Lodge. We were early to check in so we decided to have lunch in their bar. Absolutely the worst service I have experienced in years. We ordered lunch, which was very good, but after asking for a beverage four times in a half hour, we just decided it was not going... More

We had an awesome weekend of snowmobiling over a long MLK weekend (we stayed 4 nights). Our cabin/chalet was great (the Aspen) - right on the lake, very clean and comfortable with house cleaning service everyday. The staff was very friendly and helpful, from Charlie the awesome bartender who worked his buns off, to the wait staff, cabin cleaners and... More

If it were not for the "local" vib, I'd stay there again. Next time I plan to take my business where I'm welcome. The chalet we stayed in was nice and clean - ample space for our group but not really set up for boots and helmets. Not a lot of "storage". Keeping in mind that this is a family... More

Our Chalet was very nice and had a great view of the lake. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the menu on the web did not match the actual menu. Very poor selection of food and they do not bake anything for desert. For morning they only have a buffet. We were on a snowmobile so there we... More

I have ate here twice in the last few months. The bartender was also the waitress both evenings as the lodge was not that busy. The service was great and the food even better. The bartender/waitress went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. I had ribs one evening and enjoyed tacos... More

The cabin we had was "ok" and for what we paid I guess we can't complain. However, nowhere on the website does it state that if you pay by credit card you will be charged an extra 3% fee!!! WTH?!? I wasn't even told this when I gave my CC info over the phone to hold the room!! Who carries... More

We came up here to visit the porcupine mountains and on our way we stopped in at the gogebic lodge to eat because we were hungry. Needless to stay when you walked in you couldn't find a table because it was very busy with only 1 waitress working. We went to the bar and it took us about half hour... More
