I made a last minute reservation and the staff at Econo Lodge took great care of me. The hotel is very clean with a good continental breakfast. I left my glasses and the staff had them at the desk for me with a note that they were mine at the office.

What a pleasant surprise. This is a place worth staying at for longer than a night if you have time. The hosts were very friendly. Had a good chat with the owner while getting breakfast. It was very clean and affordable. The breakfast room was a delight. It was big, spacious and had a gorgeous view. The owner was watering the... More

My wife and I were traveling back from Canada on a long road trip. It was raining and we were having car trouble. We did not plan on visiting in Manistique Michigan and had our dogs with us. It was Father's Day and of course a Sunday. Our car was towed to a nearby repair shop that was closed. We... More

Older hotel but maintained. We got a decent king size bed and the heater worked well. Breakfast was minimal but included waffles. While we did not use it the hotel has a nice indoor pool. We would definitely stay here again. It is a few blocks off the interstate but the Garmin brought us right to it. Man at the... More

My family stopped here on the way back to Minnesota. The room was clean, but had a 'chemical' smell to it. The smell went away after ya got used to it, but even still...why? Heater worked well. Wi-fi worked nicely. The beds though were horrible! Seriously 'Flintstone' style, like sleeping on a granite slab! If you have a bad back,... More

My husband and I stayed one night and that was plenty. The room was what you'd expect for an older motel (think, 80's décor and cheap furniture) but that's not the problem. The owners lack common customer service skills. The place looked clean, but our room had a musty, smoky smell. When my husband mentioned it to the owner she told... More

Overall, a fair experience with a very reasonable price. Other reviewers have commented, and I will also, that the "wife" who took care of us as we checked in was extremely helpful/friendly. Her husband was "borderline rude" and gave us a very poor first impression. Rooms were large, clean, but very musty smelling. Despite a poor first impression by one... More

We came to Manistique without motel reservations. We stopped at Econo Lodge Lakeshore and the room rate was reasonable. Patricia, who was behind the counter was friendly. The room was clean. Our stay was very enjoyable. Dispite being right off the highway, it was quiet. We couldn't hear any highway noise. We would stay there again.

While there was nothing wrong with our room, I would never recommend nor stay at this location again! When we checked in the gentleman behind the desk was very rude to me. The lady that came out, then solved our problem, but not until after I was treated very badly. I came away from this experience at the beginning of... More

Our room was average, but clean. The staff was friendly. Hotel was undergoing renovations as we checked in. They were going to give us a room where the new carpet was laid 20 min before. We chose a different room. the breakfast was ok, but no hot offerings. We didn't expect any. Air conditioner worked fine, and was quiet. Bath... More
