We stayed in one of the regular rooms, not one of the suites. If you are spoiled by amenities (in my best whiney voice) small tv's (the lake is our tv), no ac (you're on the lake!), small sink, etc., then this place is not for you. It does have its shortcomings, like no fridge (bring a large cooler) or... More

Looked for an economical place to stay along Lake Michigan, and found this gem in Manistee. We knew we were walking into a motel out of the 70s, but it was clean, inexpensive, and the location was spectacular, stepping out of the backside of the room onto a small patio and then a nice sandy walk to the beach and... We've been going twice a year for years now and absolutely love it. A great location. You walk out the door and you're literally right on the beach. Within walking distance to numerous restaurants, pubs, shopping, piers & lighthouses, awesome fishing and the Manistee Riverwalk. The proprietors are friendly and it's in a quiet area. Looking forward to heading back... More

We have been coming here regularly for 10 years. Since our first time here, we have gone nowhere else on vacation. We stay here just about every month of the year. It just doesn't get any better than this! The rooms are always clean. The view and location is the best in the state, the owners, the staff -- everyone... More

This hotel is definitely not worth $111! No air condition, 12" TV, crappy beds, moldy smell rooms, flys all over, cost extra for extra coffee packets 50 cents, cost extra for towels and pillows, really small sinks, horrible shower that the drain is clogged and it takes 10 minutes just to keep it running to get hot water, no pool,... The view and lake access are the only awesome things about this hotel. The rooms are clean, but haven't been updated since the 60', and I think that includes the mattresses! I have to duck to shower and I'm 5'3"! My husband had to "take a knee" to wash his hair. The bath towels are about 2x3 feet. Walls are... More

We like it there because when you open the back door you walk three steps and you're feet are in the sand and lake Michigan is right there in front of you. Beautiful sunsets! You can walk to the pier check out the light houses, watch the fisherman fish the pier. The boat launch is right across the street. There... More

The view from this motel is wonderful - just feet from Lake Michigan. You walk out your back door directly onto soft sand, across a small park road, and back onto the sand. There is are slides and swings for the kids, and two lighthouses in view. Unfortunately, the rooms are horrible. The beds are (not kidding) at least 30... More
