This hotel was very inexpensive and looked great on paper. We had a mini fridge and the bathroom was clean, but the entire room had an awful, mildew smell. They advertised free hot breakfast, which consisted of oily scrambled eggs, flavorless waffles, biscuits and gravy. We tried it, but ended up buying breakfast elsewhere. There is an indoor pool, and... more

We stayed here for two nites. We had an upper corner room on the lake side. The room was very clean and the daily room service was great. The bedding was new, very nice, towels were top quality. Breakfast was okay. Breakfast room was taken care of. We had a great view of the bridge which made our stay wonderful. more

I can't speak for the entire hotel, but I stayed in the inexpensive $49 motel part of this establishment, and wow, never, never again.... I have stayed at other inexpensive hotel/motels in Mackinaw City, and they were beautiful, so I actually thought all Mackinaw Hotels were going to be nice. I am pretty naive, huh?... I actually paid for 2... more

The outside of hotel was covered in bugs and cobwebs. Couldn't use balcony because of the multitude of spiders. Inside of room was ok but breakfast was so bad we went out to eat after. No beach, just weeds. more

After reading the reviews here I was nervous but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We stayed in 116, which was in one of the buildings behind the two main buildings (we did not have a lake view). Our room was very clean and bigger than I expected. We had a mini-fridge (didn't expect that), the linens looked... more

We stayed here on the 3rd night of a 6 day motorcycle excursion thru Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan. We had a tiring trip from Green Bay all the way across the U.P. and had to endure 30+ mph wind gusts while crossing the infamous bridge and looking forward to relaxing in our rooms for a bit before going out to... more

When we were traveling to Mackinaw City I seached hotel reviews. The reviews I read were not impressive. We called the hotel and looked at the descriptions. Our room was nothing like the picture. They dont tell you there are several buildings. Ours was in an older one. We had cobwebs in the corner by the patiodoor. The room was... more

I've been back to this hotel (in fact almost the exact same room) a couple of times for the sake of its great view, Lake Huron and the ferries to Mackinac Island, with the Mackinac Bridge towering in the distance (even visible from the bed at night). It's a relaxing experience to sit on the balcony with a glass of... more

We knew that our room was not beachside...but we thought we'd have clean linen. When we pulled the bedspreads off the bed, we found blood and hair on the sheet saturated down to the mattress pad. It was absolutely disgusting. The manager didn't seem to mind at first, sending the maid to change the top sheet only. Eventually the manager... more
