Stayed in the motel section behind the cabins, and the room was actually not bad, it looks like it had been recently renovated. The room was clean, and the bathroom is big. The first floor rooms have a balcony/patio you can sit out on which is nice. Also within walking distance to town and the lake. Don't let the website... More

Weird, the reviews here lead me to believe that Econo Lodge Mackinaw was a bad place to stay. My visit wasn't so bad. Maybe it is because they just finished renovating the room I had stayed in; in fact they were still working on some of the rooms. I was in the two-level motel behind the cabins. I had a... More

First we had a cabin that had 2 queens, one in a separate room for privacy. My wife, myself, my daughter and our dog spent the night at the econolodge cabin and we were fine with it. It was not a luxury hotel but both beds were clean and the bathroom was clean. We did not make reservation but we... More

when i made my reservation i was under the impression they were log cabins. when we got there it turned out the rooms were in the back building. i was willing to upgrade to a cabin but was informed that they were not choice hotel properties. since i wanted to accrue points i didn't upgrade. toilet in room didn't flush... It was cute, I'll say that much. We just wanted a cheap room for the night, and this seemed like a good idea at the time. I've had better stays at Motel 6. Don't get me wrong, their little cottages look great, but the standard rooms are just uncomfortable. They tried to make them cute, with wood paneling and all,... More

I paid for a Jacuzzi room 250$ on Labor Day weekend the Jacuzzi did not work and was absolutely disgusting! There was dead bugs and hair in the Jacuzzi and the bath tub was yellow. I wasn't impressed with the two colored ladies speaking very loudly and in a foreign language while one of them was checking me in I... More

With the discounts we were given the cabin was only $59.00 a night plus a small fee for our little dog. Upon arrival we were greeted by a different person that we spoke to on the phone. The person at the desk quoted a different price so after a small hassle the first price quoted held. First of all the... More

This is by far the WORST hotel we have EVER stayed at!!! It took three rooms before we would even consider staying! The room was dirty, smelled musty and the carpet was filthy! The mattresses looked like they had gone to the local landfill to purchase...DISGUSTING!! As was stated in another review we pulled back the sheets to be greeted... More

The moment we checked in, and everything in between was terrible. They wouldn't honor the AAA rate, or even discuss the charges, lied about the manager not being available for several days after checkout, advertised Wifi didn't work either. Don't go there.
