Lovely small family run motel in Mackinaw City. Very reasonable, clean, close to ferries. Owner Terry and his wife are delightful..very friendly and accommodating. Friendly atmosphere among guests...often sit around outdoor fire in evening.

Good place to stay and walk one block to town. Nicely decorated, super clean. Single room was quite small but met our needs.Owners cared enough about Halloween to decorate in a cute, charming manner. Nice shower water pressure.

This place was perfectly charming. The rooms were clean and decorated with great care, as was the yard. When we got there, Terry and Jennifer (the owners) were outside by a camp fire that I understand they have every night. You can easily walk to the center of town. I was surprised to find such a charming and reasonably priced... More

Stayed for one night in October and service and were great. The front desk was very curtious and accommodating. The location is great with everything you want to do within walking distance. We did Fort Fright and fireworks all in same night and walked to all. Overall we are very happy with stay and service. Two thumbs up.

This another in the family owned motels we stayed in during our trip to Michigan. Terry and Jennifer are very guest oriented. Their evening camp fire was an especially nice touch allowing us to meet the other motel guests and enjoy an evening of good conversation. The other guests were all return customers which is always a good sign. The... More

First, the window air conditioning unit was rickity and clunky. It was making so much noise the first 2 nights that we decided... More

I liked the service and the atmosphere, but the rooms were too small. We had four people staying in a one bedroom unit with a sleeper sofa in the living room. The sofa took up the whole room and there were only two chairs and a tiny table in the kitchen to sit on. There was only one light in... More

Worth every penny. This hotel was a lot of fun and completely satisfied me and all my guests. We had a fun at the pool and took advantage of all the hotel has to offer. The staff was very helpful. It was a very fun weekend. Great experience!

My husband and I stayed only one night, but felt right at home. This is a gem, friendly owners, lovely grounds, flowers, fire pit, clean, comfortable rooms. We had our bicycles with us and rode to the ferry from the motel. Neighborhood is quiet, there are no complaints about the Lamplighter Inn. The owner called me when we were just... More
