The Parkside Inn provided us a spacious suite with separate bedroom, looking out over the straits of Mackinac. Mighty Mac was right outside our window, dominating the view. A pure sugar sand beach met the lapping waters of Lake Michigan, or maybe it was Lake Huron, but it was definitely Pure Michigan. A perfect night before heading to Mackinac Island... More

they charged me a $10 surcharge, don't know why. they said on the website that the pool was heated. it was not. the room smelled musty, we tried airing it out with no luck. good thing we didn't spend too much time in the room. the woman at the desk was not very friendly. the breakfast bar leaves something to... Was part of a senior tour group, stayed here 4 nights, one of the least comfortable places I've ever stayed at especially for that length of time. Beds were double and like bricks. Free deluxe breakfast was minimal and rationed out. The girl who did the breakfast was sweet and tried her best to accommodate folks. This is not a... More

Room was very small and the shower was also small. The breakfast was very limited in the items it had. The breakfast area was also small. People had to sit in lobby to eat because you cannot take food outside of the breakfast area. Pool was very big, but was cold and hot tub was only 100 degrees. It did... More

Try somewhere else. Staff was friendly. But, beds were awful!!! Would have been softer to sleep on the beach. Breakfast is included but wasn't great! If their credit card terminal company knew they up-charged customers for using the CC they would take away the machine.

We booked for two nights assuming a good room with two beds. We were given a small room with a queen bed. We request to move to bigger room or better bedding. That is what you got! We were asked to pay almost double to upgrade! We tried to make a lemonade from this lemon but the next morning was... More

Booked this place through travelocity on the fly. We will think that through a little more next time. Bridge view charge was $300.Not worth it. The beds are rock hard and walls paper thin. Shower was nice, the rooms were nice. Clean fresh smell. Carpets really need replaced. If this was a hotel 8 or red roof for $189 (taking into... More

My wife and I stayed at the Parkside Inn on August 5th. The rooms were nice and the staff very nice. The best thing about this motel is its location, it's just minutes away from the beautiful Mackinaw bridge and the straits of Mackinaw. It's also close to downtown Mackinaw and the restaurants. We have stayed in many Mackinaw hotels... More

Attractive hotel in an excellent location next to the Mackinac Bridge, Colonial Michilimackinac, and the Old Mackinac Lighthouse - and just blocks from the main shopping strip. My wife took a walk in the park along the lake every morning. (Had to keep her mouth closed, though, because of all the bugs!) We had a large room with three beds,... More

We've stayed here many times over the years. We always liked staying in a room facing the bridge. The room was clean but it's time for new mattresses. I wouldn't be surprised if these were the same ones we slept on 30 years ago. No kidding, they were worn out. Our TV and wifi went out too. Another complaint has... More
