Myself and 2 friends arrived on island and had our bags delivered to the Inn so we could make our way leisurely along the Main street. The Inn sits back about a half block from the main street so street traffic noise is not an issues. Upon arriving at the Inn we were greeted by the owner, a kind grandmotherly... More

My kids and I spent 3 nights here recently. This is not a large, fancy B&B. It has 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, and is the upstairs of a person's home. Trish makes 2 baked goods every morning, using berries that she grows. Breakfast is 8:30-9;30, the baked goods, fruit, juice, coffee or tea, plus homemade jams, butters. Fresh from the... More

House is old and smells like dog. The price is good and location is nice. Most affordable on island but you get what you pay for. Breakfast is late with no early option and does not have any afternoon tea or cookies or anything. So so. If we could afford it we would upgrade to different one.

I booked two nights at this place and I found many turn offs while staying there. I had my 19 months old daughter with me who drinks warm milk before bedtime. I had to go and ask the owner to warm up the milk and found out by asking to be very inconvenient for her. It would be nice for... More

Nice accommodations. Rooms were comfy ... but what was that half open bag of beef jerky doing under the little green couch?? Guess the cleaning crew must have missed it! Breakfast was nice, but when one of our group asked about decaf coffee - there wasn't any - it still wasn't made available at our second breakfast there. We thought... More

Trish and her mom, Alice, open up the four upstairs bedrooms in their family home to guests. It's quaint and homey and very much like a traditional English B&B. Be aware that you are staying in their home, so they may ask when you'll return in the evening so they know whether or not to lock the front door. Trish... More

The place is clean and it's tucked in behind the row of hotels. It's up a steep hill, so you may want to hire someone to help with luggage. The owners are very nice, but remember that it is their home. It can be awkward, including lots of questions about when guests will be back so they can plan things... More

My husband and I stayed at Bogan Lane Inn and had a wonderful experience. The price is definitely good compared to other B & B's on the island which is the one reason we selected it. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bathrooms but we never had any issue sharing it. The caretakers Alice (mom) and Trish (daughter) were... More

I stayed here three nights (8/16-8/18). I went to Mackinac Island to celebrate my birthday, solo. I never could have afforded to stay that long if I had not discover this inn. Trish and her mother were marvelous hosts. They really made me feel welcome. This inn is a block off the main street and you can walk to everything.... More

If you're looking for a good value B&B on Mackinac Island, Bogan Lane Inn is the place to stay. Compared to other B&B's on the island, this inn is extremely affordable. The location is excellent - one block off the main street and close to the shopping district, walking paths and bicycle rentals. The house is quaint and filled with... More
