I will say this first and foremost. The service at the Pontiac Lodge is second to none! I have never received such generosity and service before at a hotel. My girlfriend and I came to Mackinac Island by plane and the pilot took us on a short trip near the ice and around the island. When we landed we were... More

My wife and I have stayed on Mackinac Island several times in the summer over the years at several places, but our three night stay in February 2015 was our first trip in the winter. In the mid-winter, the housing choices are limited, but we had a great experience at the Pontiac. Checking in was a bit more difficult than... More

My husband and I chose to stay here for our honeymoon. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly staff member (he may have been the owner). He checked us in quickly and showed us to our room. Upon entering, we thought the room was a good size and very clean. We decided to get some food after unpacking,... More

We stayed in August 2014. The accommodation was comfortable and in a great location in this lovely island. Only a few steps away from the ferry terminal and right on Main Street. Absence of a normal reception area and the fact that we only met the receptionist on arrival and departure gave the lodge an impersonal feel. The room was... More

Great place to stay on the island. We stayed just one night and the rooms were beautiful. The convenience of the location is the best being it's right there as soon as you exit Sheplers. Room was large, king size bed, awesome clean bathrooms, jacuzzi in the room, and a fridge would have me staying here again. The most important... More

We used Pontiac Lodge as a place for our wedding planners to stay at on the island during the weekend of my Wife & I's recent wedding. The price was great and the girls' were so happy to stay at Pontiac Lodge! They loved the location, the cleanliness, and the staff. Pontiac Lodge is definitely one of Mackinac Island's best... More

We enjoyed 3 nights on Mackinac Island at Pontiac Lodge. The hotel is in the middle of town which was a great plus as we could easily return to rest, drop off extra clothing later in the day and just relax! It was a quiet place to sleep at night, too. The bed was comfortable and the jetted tub was... More

I freely admit I choose this b/c of the good review & price. I was not disappointed! The room was bigger & better than I thought. I didn't realize that if I looked up when I got off the Sheplers ferry I would see the Pontiac Lodge sign. You do have to walk down the side street to check in.... More

This was my second trip to Mackinac Island. The fist time I stayed in the grand hotel which was lovely but I was looking for something more reasonable. This hotel was one of the most affordable one I found after browsing through some online. I emailed before booking a room and the staff was very friendly through email. When we... More

The hotel is located downtown, directly across from Shepler’s dock. Very close to shopping, restaurants and landmarks. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with two queen beds (room #20). It was updated and modern. Two windows overlooked Main Street. It was nice to have a small refrigerator and a microwave. There is no elevator for luggage, but the stairs... More
