My friends and I stayed 3 nights, and are planning to go back with our familys in the spring, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The Inn is like stepping back in time, and you can just relax sitting on the wonderful porch, enjoying the wonderful breakfast, getting your warm cookies in your room,or having lemonade and cheese and crackers in the afternoon.... The positives include the fact that this inn is only a 5 minute walk from the Arnold Ferry. The staff is friendly, and lemonade, cheese, and crackers are available in the afternoon. The warm chocolate chip cookies in the evening were irresistible. Two bike rentals are within a few minutes and it's fun to sit on the porch and watch... More

We only spent one night on Mackinac Island, but we are so happy we elected to stay at the Inn. The moment we walked up to the Inn from the ferry (there are no cars on the island!), we knew we were in for a treat! The warm inviting green painted Victorian home seemed to beckon us in. Once inside,... More

We have stayed at the Inn two times now and we were glad that we chose to return. The staff is incredibly friendly. The Inn has a perfect location! Just down the street far enough from the night life to avoid the noise, but not as far away as some of the larger resorts. Walking to all the action takes... More

We found a great deal on their website and decided to stay on the Island. After one night, we decided to return for another night on our way back to Kzoo.

This is a very service oriented hotel. The staff at the desk are very friendly and know what they're doing. There are cheese and crackers and lemonade available in the lobby. They deliver cookies to your room at bedtime. They have a hot breakfast buffet for guests. There's a big shady porch to sit on and watch the bikes go... More

Had a nice time at the Inn..saw so many wonderful reviews so we decided to stay. On the first day tho the girl that checked us in was not so nice. We asked why we couldn't get a taxi to take us to the Inn in the pouring rain..and as she was looking at her nails just said.."well you have... More

Helpful phone reservation, upgraded to larger room with two beds, everything in great shape, great hot breakfast, real eggs, sausage and my husbands favorite, real oatmeal kept hot in a crock pot, cookies in the evening and cheese and crackers in the afternoon. One afternoon was pouring rain and we hung out on the second floor parlor as did two... More

Had a great time here, great breakfast. Real eggs and sausage. Staff was friendly. Had a room with two queens. Very clean. Cookies left in room in the afternoon. Great porch. Pool was great for the kids. Looking forward to returning at the end of next month!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The year was 1867, an era of horse-drawn carriages and ladies in bustles. Blacksmiths were crafting horse shoes in glowing forges. During this height of Victorian culture, the Inn on Mackinac was built. Known then as Chateau Beaumont in memory of the famous Army surgeon at Fort Mackinac, the Inn on Mackinac has retained its quaint, old fashioned charm. The Inn’s facilities have been updated to meet the needs of the modern traveler while preserving its colorful history. Today, completely remodeled and redecorated, this beautiful Victorian Inn opens its doors, where the very special charm of our family-run Inn awaits you. ... more   less
