The location was perfect. Just one block from downtown. We loved the porch and our son loved the bedtime cookies. The free breakfast buffet was good and more than the other hotels offer. The staff was friendly and professional. We are going to stay here next time we visit. You can check out the rooms on their website before you... More

We were staying at another hotel on the island, but the Inn on Mackinac became our "go to" stop for afternoon lattes. The coffee and service were excellent and it has a nice, relaxing patio for enjoying our coffee while people watching.

Stayed at the Inn on Mackinac for the past 2 years after sailing the Race to Mackinac; one of the busiest times of year for the island. This hotel wonderfully reflects the relaxed, comfortable, & "home-like" atmosphere! Staff members seem to have that friendly "next-door neighbor" persona & make you feel more than welcome, as well as providing great service!... More

Nice sized room. Extra small bathroom, not a big deal unless you have limited mobility or are a big person. A hot breakfast was a welcome surprise. The kids were overjoyed to receive a bedtime cookie, I was over fudged and didn't eat it. Porches and sunny sitting rooms are a great spot to rest your feet. Would stay again.

I had never been to the island- and was recommended the Inn by a friend. Reasonable prices ( for the island), seemed nice, close to town. Sold! So, I paid the full amount online. A few days later I looked online and they were having a 25% off special for the rest of the season. I called and asked for... More

If you like Victorian homes and décor, this is a great place. The staff is always friendly and helpful.. The wrap around porch is perfect to sit and watch people pass by. It's a very short walk from town. A hot breakfast is included as well as afternoon lemonade and cheese and crackers. In the evening they come to each... More

We had room 202 on July 10th, a very large and comfortable room with an equally large bathroom. We sure could have stayed longer, but we were there for an overnight attending a banquet. The check-in was smooth, with cheese cubes and cracker tray in the lobby alongside delicious lemonade. The breakfast that came with the room was very nice... More

We have stayed with our family four times at the Inn on Macinac over 15 years. Each time was perfect. This latest stay was second week in July 2014 and we stayed two nights. Fair price on the room (all prices are high on the island), breakfast was the same each day however enough selection for all, the staff was... More

Great room with great harbor view! Great location. The inn is very quaint and had the feel of an old historical home, but the amenities of a modern facility. The inn was clean and maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. We loved watching Main Street from our room, while relaxing. Spa pool was awesome! Wish we could of stayed longer!

We stayed at the inn for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. Cheese and crackers in the lobby. Cookies in the evening. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available 24 hours. The breakfast was great. We really enjoyed the pool. Its not huge but it was really nice. We made good use of the porch as well. My only complaint... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The year was 1867, an era of horse-drawn carriages and ladies in bustles. Blacksmiths were crafting horse shoes in glowing forges. During this height of Victorian culture, the Inn on Mackinac was built. Known then as Chateau Beaumont in memory of the famous Army surgeon at Fort Mackinac, the Inn on Mackinac has retained its quaint, old fashioned charm. The Inn’s facilities have been updated to meet the needs of the modern traveler while preserving its colorful history. Today, completely remodeled and redecorated, this beautiful Victorian Inn opens its doors, where the very special charm of our family-run Inn awaits you. ... more   less
