Beautiful and clean. Full of charm and character. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are adequate. Common areas are Devine. Perfect romantic get away. Perfect for small groups. My husband and I were there alone but we saw small groups out on the porch celebrating a birthday party. How perfect! You just can not go wrong with this place. Wonderful... More

This hotel is affordable and close to downtown, the park, Fort Mackinac, everything. Its grounds are very well manicured, some of the most beautiful on the island. The porch has a spectacular view, you can even see the lake across the street. Hot breakfast is included, and they even have beverages available all day, cheese/crackers/lemonade in the afternoon, and warm... More

This historic Inn provides some of the luxuries of the 21st Century (AC, great spa pool to soak in after biking the island, al fresco dining for breakfast surrounded by perennials.) -- and a folksy, casual experience with convivial staff and covered porch to take in the ambiance of this magnificent island. If you need to stretch a budget a... More

First the Inn is eye catching . Very calming . The staff is A+. This "Mansion" doesn't have a plain room in it . Every room is a winner . Morning breakfast is a delight . Many places to pick your scenery and have breakfast . In the afternoon cheese and crackers are put out on a beautiful antique dresser... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor, my daughter and I were able to make a very tough decision as to where we should stay for the 1st time during the summer on Mackinac Island? We chose the Inn for several reasons. Location was excellent if one would like to be away from the downtown area, but close enough to take a nice... More

Let's just start out by saying, I don't "do" old fashioned. The pictures online do this place no justice. Well it may look old fashioned...it certainly didn't feel that way. Everything was so neat and tidy and the staff was amazing! I ran the Great Turtle Half Marathon at the end of Oct. My husband, 2.5yr old and I stayed... More

I stayed at the Inn on Mackinac with my husband and baby girl at the end of October. It was very clean and every employee was friendly. Our room was pretty chilly, but we were given a space heater to warm things up. The next day someone came to our room just to make sure we were warm enough. There... More

This was a pleasant surprise for us. The inn was very charming and comfortable feeling. There are two wrap - around porches and two living room areas as well as a very nice stainless steel hot tub. Breakfast was served on the first floor, and had alot to offer. Everything we tried was wonderful. Warm cookies were brought to our... More

This was our first visit to Mackinac Island and used Trip Advisor and other travel sites for information on lodging, finally settling on the Inn on Mackinac. Our visit could not have been better. Due to car problems, we were not able to get to the B&B on the night of our reservation. When I called, they offered to change... More

We were so glad the Inn stayed open later this fall! It's a charming building, the staff is wonderful, our room was fabulous, breakfast was great with a wide variety (even got biscuits and gravy two mornings...yum!), coffee/tea/hot chocolate available all day, a snack in the afternoon and cookies at bedtime...and fudge, too! The fall special was amazing (stay 2... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The year was 1867, an era of horse-drawn carriages and ladies in bustles. Blacksmiths were crafting horse shoes in glowing forges. During this height of Victorian culture, the Inn on Mackinac was built. Known then as Chateau Beaumont in memory of the famous Army surgeon at Fort Mackinac, the Inn on Mackinac has retained its quaint, old fashioned charm. The Inn’s facilities have been updated to meet the needs of the modern traveler while preserving its colorful history. Today, completely remodeled and redecorated, this beautiful Victorian Inn opens its doors, where the very special charm of our family-run Inn awaits you. ... more   less
