My college roommates plus 3 spouses and I visited Mackinac Island the week before Labor Day, and my husband and another couple stayed at the Lake View. My husband and I stayed in a turret room on the third floor that faced Main Street and we had no problem with street noise. The room was fantastic, probably my all-time favorite... More

Clean. Great location. Attentive staff. Very very noisy with screaming kids in pool until 10:00. Dinner was awful. Breakfast was just OK. Porch with rockers great. Do not get room that opens to pool on floor 1 or 2 or 3.

Do not stay in room 224. It is the King Spa room and looks nice. Unfortunately it is located directly over the bar. It was so loud every night after 10 pm the floor vibrated and could be heard even with pillows over our heads and cotton balls in our ears. The hotel has a quiet policy from 10 pm... More

My mom and I stayed at the Lake View Hotel while we were on Mackinac Island, celebrating her birthday. We thought, for the price, that this hotel would be top-notch with excellent accommodations (as outlined on the website). I was especially looking forward to the "quiet hours" from 10pm-7am each night, as my mom and I were planning to get... More

Our luggage was handled for us so we only had a very short walk to the hotel. The hotel was very beautiful and their front porch had wonderful rocking chairs where you could sit and watch all the horse drawn carriages go by. If we looked to he right we could see the beach and all the flying kites in... More

I probably won't be staying here again. I've stayed at several of the other hotels on the island and this one is nothing special. Plus, this hotel is WAY MORE NOISY compared to the other hotels. The noise from the pool makes an afternoon nap awfully difficult!! What's even worse was the air conditioner unit we had in our room.... More

This hotel is located right across from the ferry docks and was perfect for a stay on the island. We were right in the main area and could easily walk wherever we wanted to go. The hotel was clean and our room was big. We especially liked that the toilet and tub area were in a seperate room from the... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2014 and loved it. The location was perfect and the staff was very helpful. We chose one the Mackinac Memories package and enjoyed all the tours. The included breakfast was basic, but worthwhile; you can purchase 3 eggs or a 3 egg omelet to go with the breads, yogurt,... More

This hotel is right on the main drag, where most of the action (people, horses, wagons, and all that comes with them) is. It's not the best lodging on the island, but then it's not $700 a night, either. We stayed in one of the older sections of the hotel, with a view on a side street...and found it charming!... More

This hotel is wonderful! The staff is always very accomodating. My daughter has a medication that needs to be refrigerated and since there are no refrigerators in the rooms the staff made sure I knew where the communal fridge was and I had access to it 24 hours a day. The location is the best as it is so close... More
