As the trip planner for a group of 14 women, I found The Cottage Inn to be perfect for our group. From the easy planning with Rich and Marge to the comfy beds, pillows and linens to the absolutely delicious breakfast, The Cottage Inn was awesome! Our diverse group was very pleased with our accommodations and we will definitely be... More

After staying here several times at the Cottage Inn, I can assure anyone that is considering booking a room there that you are in for a treat. The inn in very charming and yet has modern conveniences. The floors don't creak so it is very quiet in the rooms. The furnishings and fixtures are very nice. I love the Victorian... More

My fiance and I stayed at Cottage Inn for the New Years week. The stay was absolutely fantastic. Rich and Marge are so caring for their beautiful inn. The breakfast is simple but delicious. The rooms may be on the small size, but they don't need to be any bigger to be comfortable. The rooms are also very clean and... More

This charming bed and breakfast lured us back for the third winter visit and, once again, was simply delightful. Marge and Rich are warm, very well organized, and offer a delicious breakfast each morning, as well as 'tea time' snacks. The ferry had stopped for the year, the 'airline' was a hoot.

Our anniversary trip started in Charleviox with a chartered yacht and a gorgeous day on Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix. It was sunny, in the mid 70's and very windy, so our sail was awesome. We spent the night in Petoskey and traveled up to Mackinac Island the next day, arriving at the Cottage Inn at about 1:00 pm. Rich... More

First time on the island. Made a great choice. Cottage Inn is 1 block in from Main street, right where you want to stay. With ALL of the horses on Main street, so is a certain "scent" that go with that. Can't imagine what is would be like on a summer night. The Cottage Inn is a very clean, well... More

Extremely nice place with very accommodating hosts. Easy walk to center of town, good restaurants, shopping, fudge and grocery store. Three minute walk from the Arnold dock. The Cottage Inn is clean, quiet and comfortable. Would I stay there on my next Mackinac Island trip? ABSOLUTELY!

The Cottage Inn is a wonderful, comfortable place to stay. The rooms are beautiful and immaculate. The innkeepers, Rich and Marge Lind, are friendly, warm, and knowledgable. There are many nice places to stay on Mackinac but they are the reason people come back year after year! Marge is an excellent chef and breakfasts are yummy. Afternoon snacks are welcome... More

We were met by Rich who checked us into the B & B and escorted us to the Mackinac Suite and explained everything to us. The Mackinac Suite is very beautiful, and the house is situated just below the Fort. The Inn is very beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Breakfast is a baked egg dish, which was always delicious with... More

Mackinac Island is such a relaxing place. Staying at the Cottage Inn made it even more so! This was our first time at a B+B, we really enjoyed it! The staff was so friendly and helpful, had very good advice about what to do, where to go. Location is top notch, so close to downtown, yet not on top of... More
