We arrived right before check-in time but our room was ready. We reserved the 2-bedroom suite, room 31, which overlooked the quiet street out front. The inn is located one block off of the busy, busy Main Street. The caretakers were very kind and informative people. The rooms are all decorated differently. Very clean and very quiet. The beds were... More

We arrived early, so Don let us store our luggage while we went sight seeing. After we returned. Don helped my husband take a piece of luggage to our 2nd floor room for us. That was way above and beyond, and was greatly appreciated. I could not have done it. We stayed in room 21, Victorian Turet. What a beautiful... More

Arrived early in the rain but our room was ready and they allowed us to check in. Virginia and Don recommended restaurants which were outstanding. Breakfast was great, bed and room were comfortable and we were in a convenient location. Enjoyed renting bikes, touring the historical structures and hiking. Fellow guests were friendly. Overall a relaxing and outstanding stay.

A group of 6 sisters and cousins, we stayed 2 nights at the Cottage Inn in June. It was everything we hoped for and more. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and lovely. We stayed two to a room, so we really appreciated the fact that the lavatories were in the bedroom area, with the stool & shower separate, making it... More

My mother and I stayed for four nights at the Cottage Inn and had a lovely time. Virginia and Don were so wonderful and showed real care for each of the guests. The rooms were very nicely decorated and well-maintained. The breakfasts wee simple but satisfying offering a range of food from egg dishes to homemade baked goods. I would... More

This place deserves the consistent 5 star reviews. It is an absolutely delightful place to spend time. The location can't be beat: it's only a block up from the Main Street, but you might as well be a world away. It is very quiet, especially at night. Whereas other inns are surrounded by noisy shops and restaurants, this one was... More

The innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating, Our first floor room was large enough, had good temperature control, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast included fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, and an egg casserole. . Alll were very good. Afternoon snacks included... More

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Mackinac Island. Our stay at the Cottage Inn was wonderful! It was a great value and the location is perfect! It's close to everything but on a quiet street where you can relax and enjoy the clip-clop of the passing horses. Don and Virginia were very welcoming hosts and... More

A few months back my wife and I decided to visit Mackinac with another couple. When we started searching for rooms on the island we were blown away! $500, $600, and beyond for a room that would accommodate our group. Then we found the Cottage Inn. They offer a suite with two rooms, a great sitting area, and a refrigerator.... More

My husband and I recently returned from another remarkable stay at the Cottage Inn on Mackinac Island. We booked out stay last fall for the first weekend in May when the Grand Hotel has its early opening weekend. Only half of the stores and restaurants are opening up so it is a quiet weekend to enjoy the beauty of Mackinac... More
