I have stayed in several hotels on Mackinac Island but this is the first one that I definitely plan to return to. Everything is completely renovated (a lot of the hotels are very outdated and have that musty, antiquey smell that I don't love). John and Jean were so helpful and friendly. Everything was spotless, the beds were comfy, rooms... More

I have traveled to Mackinac Island five times, but this was my first time to stay overnight on the Island. I could not have picked a nicer place to stay! John and Jean were so friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. The Inn is located on a quiet street, but... More

John and Jean went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect. Their B&B was spotless. The flowers were meticulously cared for and made a beautiful entrance to their lovely B&B. We would give them a 5 star!

Over the past 27 years we've developed favorite places to stay on the island. This year we decided to include the Cottage Inn B&B for the first time and we're glad we did! John & Jean were very friendly & helpful innkeepers. Good food, clean rooms. We stayed in the Victorian Turret room and the Lighthouse room. Both were very... More

From the moment we walked through the doors, John and Jean made us feel like family. They helped us settle in and made several suggestions about the sights we wanted to visit. Our room (The Father Marquette room) was cozy and very clean. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the rain shower head. The breakfast was nice and we... More

Wonderful B&B stay to celebrate our 50th Anniversary! Great place to enjoy a lovely room, yummy breakfast, and great inn keepers, John and Jean. They gave us recommendations of places to visit and eat. Enjoyed the beautiful garden and coffee on the porch. We could see the dedication to provide a memorable experience for guests.

We spent two nights in June at the Cottage Inn on Mackinac Island. The inn is located in a lovely area on Market Street. Our hosts, Jean and John Hudson were very pleasant and provided helpful advice. Breakfast was excellent with generous portions. There is a large front porch with a nice view where we enjoyed our afternoon snack of... More

The Inn was very attractive inside and out. Beautiful setting. Jean and John, our Inn keepers, were gracious and helpful. Friendly, personable, and a wealth of information. The location was close to everything. An easy pleasant walk. The snacks at 3pm were yummy. Breakfast was delicious, especially the peaches and cream cake.

I stayed here overnight in January 2013. The inn itself is nice and what you would expect from Mackinac Island. The customer service was the outstanding part of my stay. I was the only guest there that night and my hosts were as attentive and informative as if I was there during the summer high season. In the morning they... More
