I would not have a wedding reception here. The reception is held in the hotel breakfast room. Of course they charge you to dress it up a bit. The bar rate was over the top and we had to provide the liquor. The salad was served with out the dressing, I guess they forgot it.. The portions are very small... more

My wife and I have stayed at the Harbor View on two occasions. The first time was a bit last minute and we had a room in the B&B property next door. Room was small but cozy, no AC in the summer (80+ degrees) but, generally not too hot at night on Mackinac with a breeze. Staff helped me arrange... more

Staying at the Harbor View Inn was like a dream come true. We felt so comfortable and at peace here, we never wanted to leave. The Inn is not far from town, and they have a luggage porter who will bring your bags from the ferry to the inn. The location is very convenient as it is located close to... more

We stayed here for two nights with our 8 year old and had a great time. We booked a suite with 2 queen beds and a separate living area. The rooms were large and nicely decorated. There was a nice semi-private balcony off the living area that overlooked a well manicured courtyard. The hotel is quiet, clean and well located.... more

Harbour View is really close to Bay View, Inn on Mackinaw, Bogan's, within maybe 200 feet of the Island House, and there are at least a couple of others within a couple minutes walk. It was about a five minute stroll past Island House and the Fort to the main part of town from Harbour View Inn. Our stay at... more

I booked the Harbor View based upon other reviews on here. Overall, it was a decent hotel, but not worth the price, especially not with the issues that occurred during our stay. None of the issues were a big deal. By themselves, they all were just minor inconveniences. But, added up, they resulted in us having a "just ok" experience... more

My family of 7 stay overnight on Mackinac one night a year. It is hard to find accomodations that are not very expensive. We usually pay $500 for the night. The Harbor View put us in one large room with 3 queens and 2 baths for a relatively reasonable rate. The rooms were clean, the hotel was quiet, and the... more

We stayed at the Harbor View in July 2008. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Rooms were very clean. However the beds were the most uncomfortable we have ever experienced. Very hard. There were low thread count scratchy sheets. No name toiletries. We could hear the people walking in the room above us. All in all it was three... more

The Harbor View inn has nice enough amenities and staff, but they frequently host youth groups. Our stay coincided with one such group and we were up half the night listening to doors slam, and teenage girls and boys running around the halls laughing and yelling. Calls to the front desk got short relief from the noise, but it was... more

We made our first trip to Mackinac Island over the 4th of July weekend. This is a beautiful island and our stay at the Harbor View's B&B was delightful. I would definitely choose it again. The location is excellent -- close enough to the main restaurant/ fort / shopping area but just far enough so that it was quieter and... more
