My husband arranged this trip as a surprise for our 25th anniversary and this hotel was a perfect choice. It is located right next to the ferry landing and in close proximity to all things Mackinac. Our luggage was delivered to our room upon arrival and taken back to the ferry landing when we were ready to leave. Our room... More

Chippewa is a beautiful little old charm hotel on the waterfront next to the Ferry dock (easy to move luggage on rollers). The Pink Pony bar has live entertainment and is a great place to hang and watch the game. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We went in October and got... As a professional writer, I very much enjoyed the three, two-night trips I took to Mackinac island this October to work on a book project and stay at the venerable Chippewa Hotel. A long time fan of the island, I believe fall is the best season to visit. You pretty much have the place to yourself by late afternoon, and... More

We stayed here for a long weekend in September and had a great time. The room was very clean and comfortable. We were on the street side and awoke every morning to the sounds of horses and wagon wheels. A real step back in time. The staff here are wonderful. The outdoor bar is a great place to sit and... We stayed in one of the waterfront suites (off-season splurge- was not such a big splurge!)- the view of the water was terrific- although off-season (the 3rd week in October) the marina was empty- kind of sad to look at. Lay out of the suite is a little odd- you walk in through the bedroom- so its the living room... More

We honeymooned here and it was an excellent place post nuptials! They treated us wonderfully and were hospitable to all of our requests. A great central location in the heart of it all! We can't wait to go back to celebrate our anniversaries!

We bought the honeymoon suite at a price of 452.40 per night. We had been up the night before and tried to get a nap before dinner. From 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm there were 10 to 15 preschool children running and screaming up and down the hallway in front of our door. We called the front desk and asked... More

We stayed at the end of Sep. for 3 nights and this was truly the highlight of our roadtrip. This was a "girl's getaway" for 2 of us that had not been up to Mackinac for a "few" decades. Let me start with the staff, Nicole at the front desk is a gem, Joel, the waitress in the dining room... More

Nice stay. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Location can't be beat. Our sink was slow to drain and they had it fixed immediately. Would definitely recommend to others and will be staying here again.
