My husband and I spent a few days at The Cloghaun last week. Besides being so convenient to everything (1 block from the ferry) it is a beautiful, cozy place to stay. We loved the breakfast and afternoon tea. Sitting on the porch watching the horses trot by and smelling the lilacs was so relaxing. We can't wait to return.

We stayed the beginning of June. We traveled from California to stay on MI for the very first time. Loved our visit. Marti greeted us as others have said with a "welcome home" but had she not it would not have diminished my visit as one disgruntled visitor said. Marti is everywhere......Cooking, gardening, answering calls, booking rooms acting as a... More

Marty & Paul, Inkeepers, are the best. Great brunch - egg casseroles, fruit, etc. So enjoyed our 2 night stay. It was clean and the front porch is the best place to people watch and relax. Afternoon tea was nice to enjoy after walking/biking.

Over the years we have stayed at many places on the island. I would never stay anywhere else on the Island, if we had a choice. The service, hospitality, and the welcoming feeling of the staff is outstanding. I feel confident enough in this statement to give my cell # 248.361.8698 if further information is needed. Gary Lovio

When you enter the Cloghaun you are greeted by, "Welcome Home" and you truly feel that way from the first class treatment you get there. The rooms are very clean & comfortable, location is in the heart of MI, close to the ferrys Shepler & Star. The price is very reasonable Go to: www.cloghaun.com. You won't be sorry.

This historic home is a perfect place to stay when visiting Mackinac Island. It's just a very short walk from the ferry and a block off the very busy main street. The rate was reasonable and breakfast delicious. The front porch is a perfect place to relax and watch the carriages go passed. You can go wrong with this B&B... More

The Cloghaun was great. It was charming, and though old, it was kept up and very clean. Because we booked so last minute, we got a room with a shared bathroom, which I was worried about, however, it worked out great. The prices were comparable or lower than other places and much much cheaper than the island hotels. The location... More

The nicest staff you can ask for. They provided suggestions for us on where to eat, what to do and it helped a lot. Everyone that stayed there said hi to another and talked to each other. Breakfast was delicious and they have tea time from 3-5 everyday which was very nice. We would take a break from exploring and... More

If you want a different kind of vacation. If you want a place to go that will take you back in time in some ways...go to Mackinac Island. Mackinac Island sits out in Lake Huron in Northern Michigan. You will take a ferry ride of 20 minutes to arrive at the piers of the Island. Once you are there you... More

1. Great location - Market street is parallel to Main Street so you are very close to the Ferry stations and restaurants/shops on Main Street but is much quieter than Main St. Walk to Grand Hotel is approx. 10-15 minutes - same with Fort Mackinac in the other direction. 2. Charming historic B&B - For those who like history, this... More
