I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday last weekend and there is no doubt that this is the only place we will ever stay in Ludington from now on (and wish it existed in every town we stay in!). There was a cancellation so we were upgraded to the Blue Silk room, which is out of this world (We... More

We don't usually like B and Bs but decided to stay here because of what I heard and saw about it and are we glad we did! We arrived early and were greeted by the owner, SueAnn who welcomed into her home and proceeded to show off the interior. With enthusiasm and pride she explained in detail about the history... More

We took the Badger ferry across the lake and were returning early the next morning, so we originally intended to stay at any old motel near the dock. I am so glad we changed our minds and went for a more elegant experience. The Cartier is magnificent and the guest care offered by the family equally so. The owner, Sue... More

Sue, Gary and their staff made this a memorable stay for my husband and me. All the attention that is paid to detail on this property is phenomenal. Every where you look you can see that someone took great care to make sure everything is as perfect as can be. And I mean everything, right down to the tiniest detail.... More

We went here for our honeymoon and they thought of everything and make tt a great start to our marriage! They made it feel like home with all the amenities like coffee/tea/popcorn their library and insight suggestions about the area. The staff were extremely friendly and it was a great way to meet other couples at breakfast. The breakfast was... More

We enjoyed the different stories of the house by the owner and staff. The second morning we had breakfast on our balcony, which was perfect. Excellent food both mornings. We enjoyed the French press coffee too. The original fixtures are fascinating. Our room is roomy and the bedding plush. We can't wait to visit again!

My wife and I spent the last night of our trip around the lake at the Cartier Mansion. We stayed in the King Suite which was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the balcony and enjoying the evening as the sun set. Breakfast was very good and the was served by the owners son. Truly a family run business. The... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the mansion Saturday and Sunday over Labor Day weekend. The entire experience was exceptional. The mansion was VERY clean and orderly. Breakfast was served at 9am and simply wonderful. Sue Ann was an excellent hostess and her husband was very friendly and warm as well. There are many fine details such as filtered water... More

We spent 2 nights here. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The house is exquisite! All original, right down to the light fixtures. So beautiful. Each room has custom air conditioning- high end ventless- not the window kind. Our room, The cottage room, which was right next to the staircase was a little noisy with foot traffic. Keep in... More
