I am a business traveler and spend a lot of time in hotels/motels. I also treasure privacy and peace. I was intrigued by the website and reviews when I was assigned to the Ludington area. I couldn't have been happier with my choice. I rented one of the two garden suites. It was similar to a small apartment with a... More

Thank you Summers Inn for one of the cleanest motels I have stayed in recently. I even tried to find some dirt in the corners, but could not. The room was quiet, clean and everything worked as needed. Living in Manitowoc, WI, we came over on the SS Badger with our bicycles. Our bicycles were also very clean, so the... More

OK, this might be the best motel I've ever enjoyed. Actually, although a motel in configuration, it is more like a B and B without that uncomfortable too-close feeling that you sometimes get. The hosts, the receptionist - all just delightful and so very helpful, writing out suggestions, making sure that everything is fine. Then the place - so perfectly... More

Loved this little gem! We'd come back this way just to stay here again. Tasteful renovations with a definite feel of style. A great adult place to relax and enjoy life and wine. Take a stroll down the street to enjoy Ludington's waterfront and downtown.

This is the second time we have stayed at Summers Inn, and it won't be the last. We opted for a garden suite this time. It had two rooms, small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. Our little patio had a bistro set, just right for enjoying an evening glass of wine. There was a little privacy fence that blocked... More

Thanks for taking the time to review Summer's Inn! We love it when our guests return and share their experiences. Keith is busy in the gardens preparing for next spring when new things are bound to pop up! Check out our off season rates for the garden suites! More

The wife and I just came back from a long weekend stay. We can't wait to go back next year! We've been going there for a number of years and just love it. This year was no exception. We always try to get room 40. We like this room because it's quieter (located between the sitting lounge and the storage... More

My husband and I stayed here on the last night of a short Michigan vacation over Labor Day weekend. We wanted to stay overnight in Ludington in order to take the ferry to Wisconsin the next morning. Summers Inn is a 1950 or 1960's era motel that has been almost completely remodeled! It is right on the main drag as... More

Our property is located in a historic neighborhood of wonderfully restored Victorian homes which are B and B's and single family residences. Our long time neighbor to the west has small adorable children who sometimes play in their backyard with their parents or grandfather but they never play late. I am sorry that you found them a bother. Unlike the... More

Love this place! We came into town late in the afternoon on motorcycles and wanted to stay within walking distance of restaurants and the lake. We saw Summers Inn and stopped to check their rates and availability...couldn't believe the low rates! The property is clean and well kept with a beautiful canopied deck in the garden sitting area complete with... More

This place is cheap but it doesn't feel like it. Great rooms, which are updated to have a modern boutique hotel feel. Very clean, enjoyed the wood floors. Beautiful grounds with numerous places to sit outside and enjoy the Michigan summer. The bathrooms are small and original to the building but were well equipt and clean. The bed was slightly... More

If you have viewed the inviting website for Summer's Inn, or read good reviews, you can be confident that your actual experience there will match the positivity you see online. First: the room. Our room was clean, spacious, and decorated in a pleasing modern style. With Michigan weather being what it is, we needed the air conditioning one night and... More
