This is really cute. The hostess couldn't have been sweeter! You park in front of your room. It is wood paneled. The decor is like visiting your grandmother's home. But it has everything you need. A coffee maker, hair dryer, TV, lots of thick towels. There are lots of places to set your items. So many bathrooms don't have that.... More

This place has a good location. The room was clean but smelled musty. We were travelling by motorcycle and didn't have room for our bags and to walk in the room. I can see where this type of place really appeals to some people, but for us not so much. Very expensive considering we stayed in Marriotts and such with... More

Thanks so much for your review, especially the note on cleanliness. Our cleaning staff spends an hour each room (that includes laundry time), so we're very proud of our presentation. I'm not sure, but it could be you had room 2, the king bedroom. That room has a smaller floor area, due to the larger bed. It also has a... More

When I'm on a road trip, I prefer staying in family-owned hotels and motels, rather than chains, so it doesn't feel like you're sleeping in the same place every night. I picked the Blue Spruce because of solid reviews, the fact that it had recently been redone, and the fact that I could book online. I did email the owner... More

Great place to stay--perfect location--walking distance to beach, downtown and restaurants. It's small with only 7 rooms but they are clean. My room was paneled in knotty pine and looked like our family cottage. The owner Muriel is delightful and makes you feel like family

The motel is in good location. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. The room we stayed in had a cabin or cottage feel.It was very quiet at night. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She gave us suggestions on attractions and good places to eat.

My son and I spent one night here after crossing Lake Michigan on the SS Badger. The Motel is very well kept and our room was extremely clean. Management allowed us to drop off our bags early in the morning so that we could investigate the town on our bikes as we did not cross with a car. The mattresses... More

Very nice, cute motel/inn in Ludington. Convenient walking distance to downtown for breakfast and in the opposite direction, to the stunning Ludington beach. Even though this is a retro-vintage vibe-y place, we couldn't have been more comfortable. The bed was great, and it was nice being able to park right in front of our room. Muriel and her daughter were... More

We stayed there from a Saturday to a Sunday in room 5, was our anniversary weekend. The place was quant and cute but when we crawled under the sheets for bed, we found large quantities of sand and ended up sleeping on top of the sheet. To add insult to injury our neighbors were EXTREMELY loud, all. night. long. We... More

The cleaning staff went to clean this room the next day and found little piles of sand scattered across the flooring. We are very close to the beach and now and then when our guests swim and then walk back to their room they carry sand on their feet into their room and into the bed. It would be impossible... More

Don't let the exterior fool you. This is a very clean and comfortable motel. Small but charming. Free Wi-Fi. I will stay here again. Only 2 blocks to the beach and 4-6 blocks to shops and restaurants. The bathroom is a tight squeeze, so heavier folks would have a problem. This motel was perfect for us.

Needed a room the night before heading out on the SS Badger. I called Blue Spruce since it was so close. They had one room left, king size frame with 2 full matresses, just like on a cruise ship! My brother and his wife decided to join us, so I called the Blue Spruce back a couple days later to... More
