Falling Waters Lodge is wonderfully located right on the river and waterfall with Fishtown and the Leland "downtown" a very easy walk across a private bridge. Great setting, and views. BUT, the hotel is relying too much on the location, and has paid very little attention to upkeep and cleanliness. We stayed in several hotels on a 3 week driving... More

Stayed at the hotel for work purposes. We pushed a barge into the local marina and needed a place to sleep for the night. The locals recommended Falling Waters. The staff was good and gave us a nice work rate on a suite. They aren't the most up to date but perfect for what we needed. I plan on visiting... More

The furniture is old and the room we stayed in was dirty. We found hair in the bed, dust on the furniture, hair and dirty sheets in the pull out bed,old soap in the shower and a cell phone from a previous tenant on the carpet. When I complained to the owner, he said, "That room is clean. I inspected... More

We had been to Falling Waters several times and overlooked the filthy conditions, poor service, because they were pet friendly. The restaurants are walking distance, so are the shops and the beach. Now they are no longer pet friendly. Strike three. We're out.

Love, Love, Love, Leland. Unfortunately this facility is a black eye in a wonderful community. The rooms are terribly dirty, furniture is old, the list goes on. Until the owner makes some serious improvements.. stay someplace else...even your car.

Was there before and was very disappointed with room condition. Came back with promise of updated rooms. Worst place ever you can't even sit on couch has to be fourty years old .Stains on shower curtain from who knows what .Old coffee in coffee machine. This was last night .Will not let my friends go there ever. Don't let the website... More

Aside from the view and location to the town would give this place a serious pass by. The rooms smelled, the furniture is old, broken and mismatched. The sheets & towels are old and very worn. The carpets are dirty. Bathrooms need to be re-calked. The only things that were modern were the TVs, and the fact it has WiFi.... More

If you are only going to be in Leland for a couple of days, I recommend this hotel. It desperately needs updating and the cleaning staff could use some training (we found used soap and shampoo in our shower) and cleaning girl walked in at 9:30 in morning with my husband still in his boxers lying in bed... but seasonal... This hotel has the best location, right on the river. We stayed on the lower level in a newly remodeled room. It was clean and had the amenities of a typical 3 star hotel on priceline. Shopping, winery, and restaurants are in walking distance. We were very happy with the room, house keeping, and check in/out. Looking forward to staying... More

I can't review the Falling Waters Lodge without mentioning the charm of the small town of Leland, Mi. The Lodge is bit outdated, definitely not the Holiday Inn. That said, we had a wonderful few days of hiking the Dunes, eating at the local restaurants, watching the amazing sunset from the Lodge and swimming on a nearby sandy beach. It's... More
