My mother, daughter of a copper miner, grew up in this neighborhood & was fascinated by this mine owner's mansion. How exciting for my sister & I to stay here. It was gorgeous, from the elegant wallpaper to the Tiffany-tiled fireplace, to the stained glass. And authentic right down to the push button wall switches & claw foot tubs, yet... More

My husband and I visited with my sister-in-law and her husband recently. The house has been beautifully restored and decorated. We stayed in one of the rooms upstairs. The room was so nice, the bed was a bit too firm for me but my husband liked it. The breakfast here is amazing. Our first morning we had Almond Poppy Seed... More

The last time we stayed here, we had Room #1 (the Laurium Suite - with very few guests that particular night). We enjoyed our stay and looked forward to returning. Unfortunately, this visit is memorable but not in a good way. On the day of our arrival, I called to confirm our room and our anticipated arrival time. We arrived... More

If you want to stay in a piece of history, this is the place. I don't often get to stay in a mansion, even an old one. We stayed in the Delaware room (#4). It had two antique, single beds, a spacious bath and a walk in closet. I would have liked to have viewed the other bedrooms but the... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Laurium Manor - not the main building but the brick building across the street. Outside appearance does not give a great impression but inside it is wonderful! Stained glass windows, woodwork - beautiful! We stayed in #14 that had a sitting room - it was fine. i loved that we could open the windows.... More

Considering where you are, this place has to be near the top as far as lodging goes. If you are one of those who notes the faults of a place then you could have a field day and be miserable. I choose to focus on the positives. This is a most unique place to spend a night. The rooms have... More

We had an amazing stay at the Laurium Manor Inn. The owners made us feel like family. The room was pleasant and well maintained. We had a very peaceful rest. The breakfast the next morning was delicious! Enjoyed our stay and will return.

This was our first time in a B&B. We loved it. We stayed in room 11 across the street in the Victorian B&B...the Kingston room. This is on the first floor, with its own bath and it's own entrance on the side porch. This is the smaller of the two mansions. Even though these buildings are old...they are clean and... More

We happened upon Laurim Manor while visiting Calumet MI. A random UP exploration. Who knew Calumet is a National Park? This was the first winter the manor stayed open during the winter. We were SO graciously hosted by Ashley and Jake (innkeepers) who bent over backwards to accommodate our every concern. Yes the property is worn, but the underlying history... More
