Just returned from our 3rd stay at the Wild Cherry. Very well maintained and beautiful RV park. Its located in the heart of wine country and we come every fall to do the wine trail. Our site was large and had a wonderful view of the gorgeous fall colors. Full hook was nice because they do not have a public... More

Our tent site was very nice, and the Porta-john was clean. We didn't have much of a cell signal, and the free wi-fi really didn't reach us. Nice way to disconnect, though! The campground is quiet, even over Labor Day weekend when we were there. We were close to Sutton's Bay, putting us near our event and many restaurants and... More

First impressions... beautiful and extremely well maintained. The owner and his wife (? not sure, very nice lady) were the nicest people you will ever meet. It is situated in the best spot on Leelanau Pennisula for winery hopping, kayaking, biking, hiking, geocaching, swimming, etc. We stayed in the yurt which was insanely expensive for what you get. The yurt... More

We stayed in Wild Cherry Resort in August, 2015. Wild Cherry Resort is one of the best RV parks we have stayed in. It is equal to, if not better than , our stay in Breckenridge in Colorado or Park City Utah. Wild Cherry has very generous space between RVs, and the RVs face toward a beautiful pond and green... We have visited every park within a 100 mile radius to find this park. From the start the owner Jim was the draw. Jim a friendly guy made us feel at home instantly. This coming year will be our 3rd and we have really enjoyed the peacefulness. The Wild Cherry Resort is spotless, quiet and near many options to stay... More

This place maybe good for RV camper but absolutely terrible for car or tent camper. We're touring cycles and stop here for one night. No washroom, shower room or even drinking water. Camping site was dirty and not enough maintain.

Tent camping is rustic. In the woods. We provide porta johns , drinking water, firewood, and a primitive shower with hot water. We provide the basics and explain to everyone that we have a rustic camp sites... Most people like sleeping in the woods. More

I agree with the reviewers complaining about no pool, no cable and a limited playground for kids. However, we are semi retired, travel in a motor home and have two small dogs. The park managers have never complained about our dogs or even mentioned a word about where to walk them. The park is quiet with a well maintained lawn... More

Very clean, that is the beat I can say. No bath facilities, no pool, no play area for kids. Very expensive for not providing anything. No cable, says pet friendly but ask you not to walk them around your camp site, they ask you to walk your dog in tall unmowed grass that has flea and tics.

They promote an RV Resort, however, no bathrooms, no pool, they told us we could not bring our dog because he was too big. When we got here there were bigger dogs. ours is a lab. We spent $100 to board our dog at home. They said we had a lake lot, but it's a tiny pond. They say they... More

Sorry about your disappointment. In regard to dogs we do set some regulations regarding size and breed. But we also make exceptions if the dog owner asks, which would have been granted regarding a lab. Our park is located is in the heart of Leelanau County, 15 miles from Traverse City, or about a 20 minute drive. All of our... More

What a joke this place was. We rented the yurt with the hope it would be a nice difference from a tent. Turns out a tent would have been better. There was holes in the ceiling where bugs could fly in. The cob webs hadn't been cleaned in months maybe even years. We tried to tell the owners and all... More

I'm not quite sure what these quests were expecting or looking for. The Mongolian Yurt is located in the woods and has a sky light that when closed rest on the ceiling. Bugs cannot fly in when closed as it was at the time of their arrival.. No holes in the ceiling. The lake can be seen on our web... More
