I stayed here one night on July 10, 2009. The Econo Lodge is located right on US 131 in the town of Kalkaska. It's a two story motel with no elevator only stairs. I recently made a reservation to stay a this Econo Lodge through Travelocity. Upon arriving to the hotel I learned that it catered to transient and weekly renters. Please do not waste your money at this hotel. It was old, lacked maintenance, and smelled like mothballs. The walls and furniture in our room were filthy. There was nowhere else to stay in the general area so we endured it. Do not stay here. more
