The room needed updating, the bed was way to soft, hubby woke up with a sore back..the toilet didn't flush well, and you could hear the noisy neighbors. We wanted a Queen bed, but they said they didn't have any and since we didn't have a reservation they could only give us a second floor room with double beds.. The... More

Nice, quaint motel with a friendly staff. Clean sheets and rooms and close to Traverse City! Will definitely come again! Staff was very helpful in accomodating our needs. Refrigerator and microwave were available in our room. Large area outside for kids to play in snow! Prime location being right on the way to Traverse City!

Pros: - Clean and Affordable - Friendly staff - reasonably comfortbale Cons: - could hear some of the neighboring rooms but with the AC or fan on it was fine. - little far from any bigger cities or towns, but has all the essentials

My wife and I was on our way to the Mac bridge and grew tired. I pulled into the granada inn in kalkaska mich. The sign said open and vacancy available. tTheir was a man out shoveling the walkways and I asked him if he knew the price of a room for the night. He immediatly stopped what he was... More

My husband and I were celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary, and when we arrived, our first warning was seeing two men cooking food in deep fryers out in the hallway. Then we saw our room, which was not good. At that point I was ready to sleep in our vehicle. The tub, toilet, and sheets were clean, but that was... More

Had a great long weekend stay. Clean, quiet, and close-by to pretty-much anything needed. Polite staff. It was nice to be able to just walk a couple buildings away from restaurants and stores. Loved Log Lake and the fresh air. Another fun thing we did was take a boat trip on the Chain-O-Lakes - Torch Lake is beautiful. Our friends... More

Our first nasty room lost power, 45 minutes later we got moved to a smaller dirtier room with one sheer curtain and passing people could see inside our room. In the morning when we were leaving we come to find out our door did not latch nor lock. When we went to checkout no one was at the front desk... More

We made reservations over the phone to stay at this place for two nights. We came all the way from Texas, and when we arrived we were extremely disappointed. This is the nastiest place I have ever seen. I took a shower, and my feet were filthy before I could even get across the room. There was daylight coming in... More

granadainnmotel, Manager at Granada Inn Motel, responded to this review

In regards to this, the weekend of the review, we had over 7 rooms asking to check in at 10 AM in the morning. Most choose to stay and watch as housekeeping cleaned the rooms right in front of them. By no means were any of them unhappy that they found rooms readied and clean in front of them, linens,... More

Great staff, decent clean rooms. Manager was very helpful in directing us to resturants and directions to out of town places. Good location

Cinder block walls, worn out carpet, poor noisey heating, bad lighting ( table lamps falling apart), small shower whose floor rippled like mush, felt dirty just being in the place. Only stay here if you can't afford anything else and won't be in your room much. They tried to mask the room smell with an over powering sweet scent. Not... More

Management response:

I remember this person quite well. checked in around 12.00pm left for the better portion of the day then in the evening came in and demanded a refund WITHOUT using the room a tall except for a few minutes in the morning ,no shower nothing! and said that they had their meeting for business and wouldn't be needing the room...
