One of the older Residence Inns we have stayed at but very clean and at a good price. Checked in Saturday afternoon, May 16 .. very pleasant desk clerk greeted us and offered directions to areas of the city. Room could use some upgrading .. old school television but comfortable bed and everything in working order. Breakfast was above average..... more

we had a nice, albeit short, stay at this motel. $50 on priceline was a good deal. We had a king bed, and pull out sofa which was good for my husband and my daughter and I. Clean linens, clean room. We did not take advantage of the breakfast, however, would have enjoyed it if we had done so. Convenient... more

My wife and I stayed at this Residence Inn for four weeks the summer of 2007 and seven weeks the summer of 2008. Our entire stay was both positive and pleasurable. The entire staff, from general manager to housekeepers, was cordial and hospitable. The suites and beds are comfortable. The location is convenient to the Interstate and to both downtown... more

My five year old son and I stayed at this hotel for two nights, and it couldn't have been a better experience. The staff is friendly and pleasant. The entire hotel is non-smoking, and the rooms were clean, fresh smelling, and well-maintained. The location of the rooms was a little bit of a surprise, since we did receive a room... more

Stay there for 2 weeks for business. Nothing special. Nothing special with the breakfast serve there. But clean, spacious room. Good for business traveller but not for family vacation. Long walk to nearest restaurant but close by with Kalamazoo airport. more

Due to some negative reviews on this site, I almost changed my reservation to stay at the Hampton Inn (which is immediately adjacent to the Residence Inn). I decided to stay at the Residence Inn. It has all the comforts that a Residence Inn does. What stood out to me most was the exceptional friendliness of the staff, from front... more

We enjoyed our stay here. The bed and the rollout sofabed were comfortable, the free breakfast was above average for this type of hotel, including frresh cooked eggs, oatmeal, sausage, and a variety of cereals, bagels and muffins (not freshly baked, but certainly above average). The room was quiet and the staff was quite helpful. Well worth it. more

I'm a frequent business traveler and I try to stay within the Marriott family as I am a Platinum Marriott Rewards member. That means on average I stay more than 75 nights per year. I travel around the Great Lakes region regularly on business and this week I had some meetings in several of the smaller cities in western Michigan... more

Booked a two-night stay to visit family at college; hotel is about 15 minutes from Kalamazoo/ Western Michigan campus. Room was spacious for three persons, with a foldout sofabed as well as a king bed, a kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, range, counter with stools and basic kitchen supplies, including place settings for four. Room also had a gas fireplace, which... more

I stayed at the Kalamazoo Residence Inn for a business trip in November 2006. It is located directly off of I-94 - very easy to reach. The lobby is actually quite charming - the hotel had hot coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate available for weary travelers. The staff was very polite and more than happy to answer any questions... more
